Quiet valley parking, small vans only

The last permitted parking spaces are supposedly before the tunnel. We were there at the end of October and parked in the lot below the silo, before the three-ton limit. It seems parking in this lot is tolerated, but be aware that it is a car park, and if it fills up, getting out may be difficult. Convenient for starting hikes.✦Translating

Convenient parking for hikes at Alpe Devero. If your vehicle’s dimensions allow it, choose the Montana 2 area: it is the most secluded and the parking spaces are level. Paid toilets (with no obvious reason, since there is not even toilet paper). E-bike charging points in the silo.✦Translating

The parking is a bit expensive (€10 on holidays and weekends, even in winter!); €6 on weekdays only. No services, not even free toilets. If you have a small van, you can drive up to the silo, which I recommend, so you save yourself a long unnecessary walk. If you have a motorhome, you must stop before the tunnel and start the hike earlier.✦Translating

Parking only, very quiet. Motorhomes must park between the barrier and the tunnel; beyond that, stopping is prohibited for motorhomes. We arrived in the evening, went hiking the next day, and left: €9 for about 20 hours. Still, it is the only possibility for hiking in the beautiful Alpe Devero area, so thank goodness it exists.✦Translating

Al parkings beyond the last tunnel are for passenger cars only. You may want to use the large parking lot BEFORE the tunnel and walk the final mile.

I drove up with a 7 m motorhome. Anyone who has trouble has never driven mountain roads. In any case, parking is prohibited because the last permitted parking area is after the barrier and before the tunnel. Since it is the low season, however, it is tolerated.✦Translating

The access road is narrow; in the early evening during the holidays, it is almost impossible to get up there with a 6.80 m motorhome. You or oncoming traffic constantly have to stop. I gave up 8 km before the destination. Vans or travel outside the season are probably fine.✦Translating

Parking costs are not per 24h, but per day, starting at midnight. Weekend/peak season 10€, off season 6€, so first night can cost you 20€.
