Castlerigg Hall Caravan, Camping, Glamping Park

This site is immaculate. Friendly welcome and the pitches are a good size. Some needed leveling blocks. Shower/toilet block mint. So good I stayed a second night. It's a 20-30 walk to Keswick however it's down hill so be prepared for a slog back (or taxi/bus).

Everything has been thought of at this site. The staff team work hard and are super friendly. The setting of the site is stunning - upper levels give the best views and easier access to all facilities. There are walks in every direction and a regular bus route stops at the end of the lane. Especially good site for end of season with fully serviced pitches and various spaces to sit indoors.

Top campsite with friendly staff and a good ambience. 30 min footpath walk into the town, a bit energetic on the way back. Well laid out and less exposed than the Farm campsite nearby. £27.50 for camper with 1 person and ACSI discount. Fully serviced pitches ~£10 more.

Only stayed 1 night but found nothing to complain about. The site is clean and well maintained. We paid £41 for our hard standing pitch which had its own clean water tap, grey water sink and electric hookup. Allowed on 13:00, to vacate 11:30, which I thought was very reasonable. It is a terraced site so check where your pitch is. Ours was 2nd off bottom but wasn’t a problem for us.

Beautiful campsite, very friendly staff, dogs welcome. Unfortunately, at £45 for a campervan, two people, and a dog, it is very expensive without electricity. The Crag Bar in the adjacent hotel is recommended. Good-value vegetarian food and a pleasant atmosphere.✦Translating

This is a very good and clean campsite with excellent facilities. Washing £5 a load in huge washer. £1 coins only. Dryer £3 50p coins. Street food on Sunday. We were in one of the lower pitches 28 but still had excellent views. The site slopes and the pitches are large so it is quite private. Only downside is the toilets were up a big hill! Easy hike to Keswick - 30 mins.

Nothing to complain about regarding the welcome, facilities, and bathrooms—everything was excellent. However, at almost £49 for one night with a caravan and three people, it is the most expensive I have found in England. We stayed on Saturday, and I believe weekend rates are higher; in any case, the price is excessive.✦Translating

Expensive but very nice. £46 for one night on a superior pitch but had loads of space, water, EHU and an amazing view of the lake. Nice toilets and showers. Worth it if you are looking for a more luxurious campsite.

Deserves six stars. Very comfortable, lots of perfectly maintained space. The sanitary facilities, washing-up area, and laundry room are all very clean. A forest path leads to the town, accessible on foot in 20 minutes. A real favorite.✦Translating

We paid £45.50 per night for a Superior pitch in peak season, for two people. For us, especially because of the beautiful view, it was worth every penny.✦Translating
