Been here?
A simple, accessible parking area beside the road to Mandø, with views of sheep and the Wadden Sea and generally quiet nights. There are no supply or disposal facilities, only a small garbage can, while traffic passes the pitches at low tide. Parking is available on both sides, but camping behaviour is prohibited and access for tractors and other vehicles must remain clear.

A place to stay before crossing during low tide to access the island, otherwise extremely quiet at night. However, there were many motorhomes here last night.
A very easy-to-access spot, suitable for around ten motorhomes. Very windy, perhaps not ideal for rooftop tents.
We also had a quiet night here with around seven other campers. There were rubbish bins. We drove halfway to the island, then turned around even though low tide would last a long time, because we did not want to put our campervan through it. Lots of large stones, gravel and a gravel track.
We spent a quiet night here. There is plenty of space because parking is possible on both sides of the road. You can watch the cars stopping to briefly check the tide timetable again before driving over the dyke to Mandø. Many returned after 30 minutes, so there does not seem to be a great deal to discover on the island.
Fantastic overnight spot. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and view. We stayed overnight on 13 July with at least ten other campers. Recommended!

Currently quite full, but it is actually located in a protected area...
Great free park up, solid, flat ground with plenty of space. In Spring and Autumn a perfect place to watch the murmuration. Good spot to stay for visiting Mandø Island. There is also parking, with a loo at the Traktor Bus carpark.
Excellent place to spend a night at the entrance to the road leading to Mandø Island. The only facility on site is a small rubbish bin. Be careful to keep access to the fields and passage for the tourist tractor buses clear; they are very unhappy when they find themselves blocked.

Wonderful parking area surrounded by sheep and the Wadden Sea. Suitable for one night. Very quiet. I stayed here with ten other campers. Only a simple rubbish bin is available. Do not behave as if you are camping. The tides are easy to observe. Direct route to Mandø.
Yes... nice and quiet there. And it costs nothing. Such places are rare. However, it was extremely stormy today and I fled.
Such a beautiful place to stay. I slept here last year and am back again this year. Sheep and the Wadden Sea all around us. This time we are here with six other motorhomes.
This place even being a simple parking has a unique vibration : sheep and lamb, birds and the tides which give you the opportunity to go on Mando island at low tide. No amenities except a trash bin.
good place to wait for the low tide to cross to Mandø. Cute sheep and lambs all around you.
Arrived in the evening. Very quiet. Hardly any traffic. No infrastructure nearby, so no nighttime noise either. Magnificent evening and morning atmosphere. Be sure to follow the applicable rules and take your rubbish with you. It would be a shame if a prohibition sign suddenly appeared there.

As said before, great quiet place, we were with 7 here and still lots of space. The sunset is magnificent ! I walked to Mandø from here, about 7.5 km, scenery is beautiful. walking back along the dyke from the mill makes it a 20 km walk. But the Mandø tractor bus offered a lift for the last 5 km. The soul goes on foot !
Perfect for spending a quiet night surrounded by nature! Beautiful place with a cycle path!

I spent the night there before crossing to Mandø. Very quiet. A car passed by from time to time.
Windy. Beautiful scenery. A few cars passing by. Wonderful place to sleep near Ribe.
A quiet and restful night. Some traffic in the morning (Saturday morning) accessing the island. The scenery is very beautiful!
Spent a quiet night here, in a very remote location. Great place for one night. You can watch the road to Mandø disappear into the sea in the evening.
Quiet, starry, exciting. :-) Pleasant place to wait for the crossing at 0.5 m tide.
Beautiful place to stay, ideal when waiting for low tide to drive to Mandø Island. Very quiet and idyllic; sheep are your immediate neighbours. Only suitable for vehicles that can stay self-sufficient.
Nice, spacious place in nature, surrounded by sheep and a beautiful starry sky (dark sky!).
Very peaceful parking area, welcomed by sheep and green meadows. The wind can be annoying, but you are on the coast. Perfect for one night and for visiting Mandø, which can be reached by van and not necessarily with the tractor bus.
Spacious and quiet parking area. Ideal for the night, with a beautiful sunset.
Wonderful and very peaceful place! Absolutely recommended!
The space is large, excellent for a stop and for one night. Quiet even though it is beside a small road. Grass on one side, gravel on the other. Suitable even for vehicles up to 10 metres long. Be careful to respect the rules!
Nice parking area. We managed to find a spot even though we arrived after 10 p.m.

Easy to park, we stayed and walked a little way to see the road / island. It is passable at low time, but check the tide times. We didn’t stay overnight, but other vans there did. Not sure how far towards the van the tide might come!
Very nice spot; we slept there for one night and it was very pleasant.

Beautiful, safe parking area without any facilities. From here you can also drive to the island, where there is a small campsite. Be sure to pay attention to the tide!!
Perfect for a stop near the motorway. You can hear it a little, but it is not bothersome. There is a water tap and also toilets behind the building.
