4-6 Coastguard Station
Been here?
A large, free, mostly level car park beside the beach and the summer ferry dock. It is busy during the day but can be peaceful at night, with toilets and waste bins available. Toilets may close around 22.40, and mornings can become noisy, including an early street-cleaning vehicle. Pubs, restaurants, a pharmacy, shops, food trucks, a playground and beach walks are nearby.

Stayed here 1 night - 28/5/26 The toilets didn’t close until 22.40 but not sure if that’s normal or not. It’s a very busy car park lots of walkers/ runners etc. Had a quiet night. Big lorry street cleaner came about 7.15am luckily i was already awake. Very noisy in the morning. The White Hart pub very welcoming. Relatively good facilities for a free park up can’t complain.
We stayed for one night and had a peaceful nights sleep. Its busy with people visiting the beach but quietens down at night. There are toilets and waste bins but the toilets do close later on. We had a couple of drinks in the local bar and the owner was so helpful advising us on where to go next. We parked in the corner out of the way so not to block anyone in as we have a 7m van with bike rack.
Lovely spot to spend a night. We stayed here for one night without any disturbance.Translating
Currently impossible; there are fairground rides.Translating
Great park up right beside the beach. No restrictions. Toilets open until 9pm. 2 min walk to pubs. Can get busy during the day. Coffee van and chip van onsite. Try The White Harte pub opposite...great pint of Guinness.
mostly level, hard standing, good sized area directly behind the beach. We didn't stay overnight but probably a great place. Toilets nearby beside the sailing club open during the day. There are some bins, a children's play area and fantastic beach, sand dunes and woodland walks. Look out for the racehorse exercised on the sand.
A great place to spend time with children. Nice beach and close to pubs and restaurants.Translating
Stayed here for one night. Beautiful long beach for walking, and a well-lit, level, large car park. A few young people were in cars late at night, but it was still a great overnight stop.Translating
Nice place, but the water tap is push-button only and has no screw connector.Translating
Spent a peaceful night at this little harbour. Bins & toilets available. Coffee trucks too.
Great flat car park before the ferry pier. Toilets, bins and food trucks. Cold shower by the toilets. Pubs nearby. Not too noisy, quiet evening and night.
We spent a very pleasant evening here. Above the main Car Park at the pier, alongside the low stone wall, there is space for 3/4 campers. Beachcomber Bar approx 250 m from here is very nice. Book in advance if you would like a window table with sea view.
Good spots facing the toilet block - allowing for overhang, with about five not marked for handicapped. Chipper van open until eight pm on a Tuesday evening with also a Toastie and Coffee truck during the day. Only shower is outdoors. Bins and bottle bank available. Only shop is quite limited but has the necessities. Food/coffee trucks run their generators during the day.
Great level car park in a nice town, just by the lough swilly ferry. There is a coffee van and a chippie van nearby and also a couple of bars. We stayed on a Tuesday night and had a quiet evening. There are clean public toilets available and a recycling bank.
Beautiful overnight spot by the beach, 25 meters away. In the afternoon you may have to wait for a space because of day visitors parking here. Tap, toilets during the day, and rubbish bins. No other facilities.Translating
Beautiful place well lit at night and very quiet will definitely be back
Very peaceful, with plenty of space, although it is a busy area during the day. There are public toilets nearby.Translating
