Parking strips on the Expo site near the Messe and within walking distance of Ikea. The location suits vehicles of all sizes, including trailers, and is useful after concerts or trade-fair visits. It is in an industrial area with no services, but walking with a dog is possible.

Suitable for all vehicle sizes, including trailers. A good alternative to the parking area on this street in bad weather. Within walking distance of IKEA and close to the exhibition center. No services, of course. Industrial area. You can also walk the dog here.
I am happy to use this option after a concert or a visit to the exhibition center.
There is currently a major construction site at exactly this location, and parking on the shoulder is not possible. However, next to it there is an empty, accessible lot where we spent a wonderfully quiet night with several other motorhomes after a concert. The local tuning scene apparently meets on the neighboring street, but because of the distance it was only barely audible.
