Forest meadows, abundant insects

Beautiful nature, but that also brings everything that comes with it: many insects, including ticks and deer keds. We went for a walk with our dog, and it was attacked by various bloodsuckers. Otherwise, the site is slightly sloping and the night was quiet.✦Translating

About 15 minutes from the motorway, but the drive is worthwhile. The site is nicely secluded, with adjoining forest and meadows. Absolutely quiet. There is a picnic bench that gets wonderful morning sun. Dog owners beware: there is a lot of wildlife nearby, so keep your dog on a leash if in doubt. Cozy and peaceful spot for the night. We had a quiet and restful sleep. The place was clean and well-kept, with nice walking paths nearby. A friendly cyclist passed by and agreed that this is a very calming place – and didn’t seem at all bothered that we planned to stay overnight. If there’s anything to remark on, it’s the number of ants – there were quite a few around.
