5 Höhenstraße, 83257, Gstadt am Chiemsee
Been here?
A small regular parking lot on a hill before Gstadt, intended for daytime parking rather than motorhome stays or camping. Recent visitors were asked to leave, and overnight parking is not recommended. There is no service, and the lot has space for only 3-4 mobile homes, with longer vehicles likely to be tight. Gstadt and the landing stage for Fraueninsel are nearby, approximately 800m away.

Wrong information !!! its not a free spot it's for locals only, i was woken up twice here and had to leave in the middle of the night. Definitely not recommended !!
The police asked us to leave and directed us to the pitches in Gstadt. This is a regular parking area; motorhomes and camping are not welcome. The pitch in Gstadt was great and had services too.
Very small parking area. You need luck to find a free space. It is a short distance from the water.
Very nice spot with a view of the lake. Vehicles longer than six metres may find it tight, as you cannot extend beyond the parking spaces.
Very nice place to spend the night. You can hardly hear the cars at night because there is little traffic. Also a great starting point for hiking. The water is about ten minutes away.
We stayed here for one night without any problems. Close to Lake Chiemsee. No issues with residents. Note: private parking is on the left, public parking on the right. Please take care.
Quiet place with views of the lake and very close to the village, which has very pleasant green areas. Recommended.
Beautiful spot with views of the mountains and lake. Unfortunately, the road is very busy, even at night! A small bin is nearby. About 500 metres to walk to the lake and supermarket.
We had to leave this spot in the middle of the night. There was a lot of traffic and mosquitoes. It was impossible to sleep with the windows closed in the heat.
Vehicles up to about five metres are possible. However, it is only ten metres from the main road.
Nice little parking area for spending a night. It is beside the road, so there is some noise, but it provides easy access to the town without paying for parking. There is a charming little sanctuary called the Garden of Peace. Don't forget a small rubbish bag to collect your waste, including toilet paper and tissues, otherwise it spoils the scenery and enjoyment of the place.
No prohibition signs. The best area to park is on the right. We arrived at 7 p.m. and left at 3 p.m. the following day without any problems. There was an emergency nearby that evening involving firefighters and police, but they did not say anything to us. Overall a positive experience, but avoid putting out levelling blocks or other items outside the camper to prevent restrictions from being introduced.
Perfect for taking the boat the next morning, ten minutes on foot. Some traffic on the road, but it remains relatively quiet in the morning. Not many spaces, about ten shared with cars.
Fantastic! We spent the night there in our van. Very peaceful spot with a magnificent sunrise. We walked to the water for breakfast before continuing towards Slovenia.
