Rustic little place with lots of charm, and the view from our pitch, for the equivalent of €16, was a dream. Washing machine €3. Hot shower included.
It’s so good to have people who open their homes to travellers and provide good value for money. We enjoyed our stay. Really good shower. Very friendly welcome.
Absolutely lovely welcome, totally friendly. Shower and toilet were somewhat improvised as described, but everything was available, including a washing machine and dryer. Great view; payment by card at Torsten’s was easy. We will return.
Very quiet motorhome pitch. Very nice owners. Everything was as described. The owners also speak German.
Heartfelt welcome from the family. We felt comfortable again. Our planned onward journey was spontaneously changed following Torsten’s travel advice. We did not regret it!!! Thank you, Torsten; it was a very impressive drive! Best wishes.
Great view, quiet pitch. We spent one night here with our rooftop tent. As described, the sanitary facilities are very rustic but absolutely clean. The hosts are very friendly. Dogs are warmly welcome. The pitch is on the hosts’ farm and has a great view of the fjord. The road is not disturbing at night. Highly recommended.
Super-friendly hosts. A great adventure for our three kids :)
Very warm welcome! Everything worked for us and was more than sufficient. Happily return!
Very warm and completely uncomplicated hosts. A superb view over the fjord. We would be happy to return.
Worth visiting again and again! We always enjoy returning, and our stays have grown from three to 13 days! Everything is great with the very friendly owners. Not a five-star place, but very cosy and unbeatable in atmosphere!!! We will return...
This place is unique. The facilities are as described, not 5 star, but the sense of welcome and well being is tangible, generated by the hosts and the environment. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed long walks up into the mountain. The road is not an issue as the river is pleasantly louder. There is a room for kids to play and washer/ drying machines. A place to return to.
As always, the pitch is great, with a view of the fjord. Astrid and Thorsten are very lovely and kind hosts. Many thanks for your great help during the difficult situation we are currently experiencing.
Very nice and helpful host. Sanitary facilities clean and practical. In bad weather, there is a larger common room with billiards, air hockey, and table tennis. Highly recommended!
After the third ferry, we randomly chose this place, and what a surprise! We met lovely people; the owner and his wife are super-friendly. Everything is solved without stress. That kind of hospitality and generosity is something we could learn from. It is also incredibly cheap. We even stayed an extra day despite the weather. Highly recommended! Thank you, Torsten and Astrid!
We can only agree with the others: we ultimately stayed three nights. Thorsten is wonderfully uncomplicated and helpful. Highly recommended.
Wonderful view of the fjord, super-nice hosts, and a great little campsite on the way to Ålesund, with opportunities for excursions and a bus stop directly in front of the house. Ideal for families with children; trampoline and plenty of games available.
After reading only positive reviews, we spent one night with these very welcoming hosts. We were able to shower and do our laundry. Washing machine and dryer were very practical for a reasonable price. Truly recommended. There is also a lovely, affordable little souvenir shop. Thank you for this pleasant break. It is a real change from the large campsites.
What a lovely camper place this is. We received a very hospitable welcome. For those who do not care about luxury, this is an excellent place to stay. Many more expensive camper sites cannot match this simple but wonderfully pleasant showerhead. Highly recommended. And the price certainly makes it worthwhile.
We slept here for one night. Great place, very rustic—you have to like that. Everything you need is there: shower and toilet in the barn, table tennis, billiards. Thorsten is super nice and always ready to help with advice and practical assistance. Five stars are not enough.
Anyone expecting a luxury pitch is in the wrong place and should drive on. Anyone wanting a place with a superb fjord view, a warm welcome from the owner (who speaks German and other languages), first-hand information about Norway, peace, and no fuss is exactly right here.
Lovely little place. Everything you need is available. Looking for luxury? Then definitely drive on. This campsite is basic, and that is precisely what makes it so pleasant. Thank you for letting us stay overnight.
Our second visit to Thorsten after 2023. Once again, it was fun, friendly, and uncomplicated. It is a simple pitch, and if the weather had been better, we would have happily stayed longer. Do not expect luxury; everything is simple and located in a barn. Thorsten is happy to help with travel tips.
A small, very cosy place. The operator, who is very likeable, gave us a very warm welcome and was always available with advice and practical help. The many useful tips for the rest of our journey were also very helpful. We felt very comfortable and thank them for their friendly hospitality. We will definitely return.
One of the most original pitches on our tour. No luxury, everything somewhat improvised but prepared with great care. Thorsten, the owner, is almost impossible to beat when it comes to hospitality. Since he has only five pitches and there is a large communal room, it feels like a family stay. We spontaneously stayed two nights. Many thanks again.
Very pleasant hosts and good facilities. We stayed in a tent, and there was an incredible amount of rain overnight. But we were allowed to set up our tent inside a barn to avoid the rain!
At first we hesitated about stopping because the campsite was not directly by a fjord. But we are so glad we went. We stayed two nights and were allowed to use their kayak to fish in the fjord, and we succeeded. We walked in the mountains, and our daughter had a wonderful time playing with your daughter. A visit that created lasting memories. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
An impromptu stop on our journey. Very cosy place, very friendly operator. Ideal for fishing too. A fishing spot is a five-minute walk away. Sanitary facilities are rustic but clean.
One night became two. Thorsten and Astrid are simply kind and helpful. The place is ideally located for activities in the surrounding area. We also really enjoyed using the canoe, billiard table, and table-tennis table on site. Yes, the shower and toilet are rather rustic, but that was no problem for us. We will certainly return someday.
Perfect place for a couple of days. Beautiful view at the fjord. Nice walking area and incredibly friendly host. Price is iaw the status of facilities which they are renovating.
Wonderful small and very cosy place. We felt completely at home, not least thanks to Thorsten and his family’s hospitality. Warm, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely return.
