Been here?
A free parking area under the Zoobrücke bridge, conveniently located beside Rhein Park, the waterfront and Claudius Therme. The city center is about 30 minutes away on foot, with buses, trams and a cable car nearby. It can be noisy and littered during the day, while nights have sometimes been quiet; public toilets are available nearby.

We did not stay overnight here. But it is perfect for parking while visiting the city center.
Good location, a short walk to the park with views of the Rhine and cathedral. The spa is directly opposite. However, it is under a bridge, noisy during the day, with lots of bottles and rubbish. Not beautiful, but practical. Fine for one or two nights. Quiet at night, and we had no problems with the municipal authorities. Our conclusion: practical, but not a place to feel comfortable.
What a load of lies! You are not allowed to stay overnight here at all. The municipal authorities came at 4 p.m. and informed us. The late-shift officers wake everyone and evict them from the site. The municipal officers were very friendly, though. You can park here for free. The park is lovely, and the little train gets you into town for €2.50.
Horrible—very noisy and frankly not safe. Strange individuals wander around at night and make a disturbance. Keep driving!
Anyone staying here on the weekend will not find any peace and quiet! We spent two terrible nights here. Parties are held nearby, with very loud music and many drunk people.
Excellent free parking area, a 30-minute walk from the cathedral. We did not spend the night there.
we tried to sleep there on the 21of August, it was closed from 19 to 27 of August due to a Game event, available to crew members of the event and they were charging 7€ per day/night. we did not stay as we did not want to risk a fine from police if we stayed parked on the street close to it
The parking area was completely full that day, so we went to the paid area in Cologne.
We actually spent a good night there. The spa toilets opposite can be used without any problems. Unfortunately, we were very unlucky because there was a techno event nearby. There were lots and lots of people, loud music, and dozens of people urinating around the camper. But without an event, it would be great.
You cannot sleep here on Friday and Saturday nights. The techno club is open from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on those days, with music at full volume. On other days it may be a good place. The city center is a pleasant 30-minute walk away.
We tried to sleep here for a few hours over the weekend. Unfortunately, there was a rave party at Bootshaus, so we fled to another place.
Great spot, although it can be quite full and a little tight in summer. We would still come back!
Convenient spot under freeway, lots of campers and spa parking- don’t hear much noise EXCEPT it’s EuroCup and so loud all night honking second night. Stayed 2 nights. You can take the gondolas next to the spa €18 round trip, ride the train in the park, or even take tram to cathedral! Spa is beautiful- €16,50 for 2 hours- you gotta do it. It’s across the street! Toilet in park or if use spa.
