The access road is narrow, with branches as low as 3.20 m, and the site is also known for homemade honey and a nearby archaeological site.

I would like to inform campers that, exceptionally, the campsite will be closed on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Thank you. La Cascina Del Velino
We had wonderful 3 days at La Cascina del Velino. Giancarlo and his family let us feel very welcome at his little farm. Surrounded by sweet animals and a beautiful landscape, it was a perfect, quiet spot to relax, go for a hike and pet the dog named Spritz. Also, the food was homemade, homegrown and absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for our time there!
A magical place. If you love relaxing in nature while enjoying exquisite homemade Abruzzese cuisine, there is no better place. Friendly little donkeys and Spritz, a wonderfully good-natured dog who loves guarding the campers, will keep you company. Special thanks to the owner, Giancarlo, for his warm welcome.
Very friendly welcome, sunny pitch, an unusual place surrounded by animals and mountains, with the Alba Fucens archaeological site very close by. You sleep peacefully and coolly here. The extra touch: the owner’s honey, made on site and very good—we took four jars!
Lovely camper stop with lots of animals around, including dogs, cats, chickens, goats, a donkey, and a horse. Incredible service, and the food in their restaurant is excellent. Well worth a visit! We will return!
Fantastic location, welcoming and well-maintained facilities. Giancarlo, the manager, is a special person; we appreciated his availability and friendliness, as well as Rosaria’s feminine touch, especially in the kitchen. Recommended and worth returning to.
I can only confirm the excellent reviews below. I noticed that there are currently no signs along the road. However, anyone following the coordinates listed on Park4Night via Google Maps is on the right track. The access road is narrow and branches hang down to about 3.20 m. Be brave—we have a large motorhome and managed it too.
Everything was excellently organized and clean. The staff were always friendly and had good tips for excursions. We particularly liked the peaceful atmosphere. The site was ideal for families. We would return at any time.
Very friendly welcome, a lovely place among animals: chickens, ducks, donkeys, and a sweet dog. Beautiful surroundings. Sincere hospitality and delicious food. Homemade honey for sale.
Very friendly welcome. We ate in the little restaurant with a beautiful view. Very tasty. After three nights, we would gladly have stayed longer. Wonderful little place.
The campsite fully matches the description. Charming, lively place with animals—donkeys, a pony, chickens, and dogs—but surprisingly no flies. Friendly owner and delicious food. Cool night; we are at altitude!
We happened upon this oasis of nature and friendliness! Thank you, Giancarlo, for the welcome!
Giancarlo is extremely hospitable! The food is excellent! Beautiful, level pitch, very quiet; occasionally the donkey makes itself heard, haha. Worked with the host among the bees and then had a drink together using Google Translate! A very nice encounter and a good base for Alba Fucens.
Very friendly welcome and a peaceful atmosphere. The toilet and shower were very clean, and the food was excellent! Local products are available to buy. Worth returning to :)
Uncomplicated contact; quiet site with two or three dogs. The toilet and shower were acceptable, especially because of the fan heater, but could have been cleaned occasionally. I ate at the restaurant once and it tasted good. Value for money was okay. The operator is very nice and gives hiking tips; he would even drive you somewhere.
A warm welcome and a beautiful view. Hot showers and lovely level pitches. We were the only guests, but the house restaurant was opened especially for us for a hot meal, one serving vegetarian on request. An enthusiastic donkey in the meadow completes the picture! Probably pleasantly busy in summer and a starting point for a beautiful mountain hike or a visit to the Alba amphitheater.
Highly recommended. Easy to reach, welcoming owners, and local food. Quiet and friendly area. We will definitely return.
Nothing in the glowing reviews is exaggerated! A beautiful view, quiet, and an extremely friendly host and hostess. We also had a delicious meal although we were the only guests. Thank you! A place to return to. The advice to travel back via Perugia was also excellent. What a beautiful medieval city.
