Quiet paved parking, no services

Ideal parking for spending the night before going to see the animals. There are no services, but it is a very pleasant and peaceful place. The only downside, as always, is that people take out chairs, awnings, etc. We do not seem to realise that because of these things we lose the chance to enjoy many places.✦Translating

More of the same: it is a parking area, not a campsite. Besides putting out awnings, tables and other things, people use more space than necessary and leave less room for other motorhomes or campers. In the end, where 60 or 70 vehicles could park (I do not know the exact number), only half fit.✦Translating

Excellent for spending the night before visiting Cabárceno. Flat area, but it is a parking lot, not a campsite, and people still put out awnings, tables and chairs, occupying space where other motorhomes or campers could park instead of having to go to the other unlevelled parking area. Water taps are left open, even inside the nature park. Then we complain when overnight areas are closed.✦Translating

Perfect location for spending the night and entering the park, right next door. I only saw rubbish bins; there is some shade and it fills up quickly. Be careful because there are two routes: take the one from the main road; the one through the village is narrow and has low trees if you are driving a motorhome or van.✦Translating

A wonderful place, especially in hot weather. Under the trees, by a small lake, with a picnic-like atmosphere. Lots of singing finches and song thrushes. There are regularly emptied rubbish bins. The entrance to the zoo is very close, and the zoo is most conveniently visited by car. You can also use the cable car, included in the ticket price.✦Translating

Great spot near a beautiful nature park with lots of animals well looked after. Beautiful lake to chill by in the shade. Highly recommend Parking in shade of trees.

We spent the night before going to the park the next day. Although there are no services for filling or emptying tanks, it is a peaceful place and we really liked it. We are travelling with two children. 100% recommended.✦Translating

Right at the entrance to Cabárceno, in the elephant area. We spent the night and everything was great, perfect for visiting the park and entertaining the children. A very cosy place by the lake, with many other caravans, and only a few metres' walk from the village. The only thing we missed was a water fountain. We would return.✦Translating

It is a lovely place. You are next to the village. It is very spacious; we spent the night with lots of motorhomes and campers. Ideal for visiting Cabárceno. If you take the path straight ahead at the far end, you reach the elephants in the park. Highly recommended.✦Translating

Spent 2 nights here whilst visiting the park. Quiet at night. Was very busy on the Sunday as there was a dog show by the lake. No services. The entrance to the park is literally 200 metres away.

It is a motorhome parking area, not a campsite. It serves its purpose well: spending the night and entering the park first thing, since one of the entrances is next to it. I agree that we should avoid doing anything other than parking, but that depends on people's manners. There are a couple of bars very close by, a short path around part of the park, shade and a beautiful lake.✦Translating

A site that they are eventually turning into a paid one. People put out awnings, tables and chairs, string up lights as if it were a street party, level their vehicles, etc. It is becoming increasingly overcrowded.✦Translating

What an amazing beautiful peaceful place, beautiful lake, very quiet. Just people coming down to walk. We stopped to walk the dogs but it was so nice we stayed the night.

Very good place. We stayed alongside 15 other caravans and were very peaceful. The sunrise facing the beautiful lake was gorgeous! Very worthwhile! At the entrance to the parking area there is a running-water fountain and rubbish disposal areas.

Large and quiet place, with a small lake nearby and a path running alongside it. Then there is the nature park, costing €25 per person; it opens at 10 and closes at 16:00. I recommend entering in the morning and spending the whole day there—you won't even notice the time passing, especially since once inside you can take all the routes as many times as you like.

Perfect place to spend the night, but if the weather is bad I would look for somewhere more sheltered.

Second visit to the park and the second time we have spent the night here. A few years ago we were almost alone. Now, on a Friday night, it is almost full. It no longer has services, but it remains a fantastic option for sleeping if visiting the park or travelling along the A8.

The motorhome area is not what it used to be. We had not been here for about four years, and the services it previously had—water changing and toilets—are broken and closed. Is it really so difficult to maintain this area? Now it is only a car park where overnight stays are allowed, but without services. Hopefully the authorities, or whoever is responsible, will get to work and repair it.

Fantastic stop ahead of catching the ferry. Usually busy the evening prior to ferry departures but nice to meet people moving in your direction and speaking the same language. A nice 5 mile hike up to twin lakes and the elephants are pretty cool. 5G service, a shame about the water but the views totally make up for that small inconvenience - will return

Yesterday, Friday afternoon, there were four motorhomes here; between 9 and 11 p.m. another 20 arrived. By the time everyone had parked, including loud conversations, it was midnight. We really like this idyllic stopover, and it is also good for walking the dogs. Rubbish bins are available.
