Quiet riverside parking, no disposal

It is not exactly the place of the century. The photos are somewhat misleading. It is just a parking area with a view of cars and campervans lined up in the background. CHF 20 plus CHF 5 for parking is terribly expensive! It is true that it is quite peaceful, but at that price, it should be.

The area is large and quiet—fine for spending the night, but far too expensive and without a waste-disposal station. There are better and cheaper places in the region.

Quite peaceful parking area, despite being next to the train. CHF 23 per night plus CHF 5 for parking. Includes the Garner Pass. Spending the night without an on-site toilet is complicated; the toilets are a five-minute walk away, on the other side of the railway tracks. The ground is fairly level, with about 10 electric spaces.

We spent a very peaceful night here, but the bathrooms are far away. After paying CHF 30 in the app to spend the night, the next day we also had to pay the CHF 5 daily parking ticket we collected so they would open the barrier. I do not understand why parking must be paid separately if we already paid for the night. I called information and was told that both payments are required.

Very nice, great for walking and cycling, quiet despite the train. The only drawback is having to pay at the funicular ticket office to exit, in addition to the stay. Bicycles are allowed on the funicular; at the top it is simply incredible and absolutely worth visiting. The site has no facilities, just nature and electricity. Excellent. Tip-top.

Note: we wanted to park the evening before, but it says you must leave before noon. In addition to the camping fee, you also pay parking costs at the Braunwald railway. Paying for one night is advantageous because a return trip on the Braunwald railway costs more.

Perfect for spending one or more nights. A train passes from time to time, but it is not noisy at all. Fairly quiet location by the river. Fee payable at the funicular station, along with the ticket to enter the parking area.

Impossible to pay the tourist tax without the required app. However, it is a convenient and inexpensive place for two quiet nights. During the day, helicopters transporting equipment up the mountain fly back and forth.

You have to pay at the machine in the station, which is a five-minute walk away. The bathrooms are also at the station. The place looks abandoned; there are two motorhomes, but they also seemed abandoned. We decided to leave. It is much better to look for the cable-car parking area that goes up to Limmerensee, which is free.

We slept here for two nights. The surroundings are very quiet; the train passes nearby but makes little noise. Excellent value for money (CHF 5 per pitch per night plus parking: CHF 5 for the first 24 hours, then CHF 3 per additional day). No services, but a service point is a few kilometers away at the listed location in Glarus.
