This is an asphalt parking area beside Lidl, suitable for a free overnight stop. It is not in Lidl’s car park, and the surface is not completely level. The area becomes quiet after 22:00, although supermarket deliveries may arrive at 23:00 and 6:30. Chichester is about a 15-20 minute walk away.

Superb quiet spot, with Lidl next door.
Packed here today to visit Chichester for free. Short walk into the town. The area is not in the Lidl car park.
Decent enough stop, except being check on at 5am by the council rough sleeper team to see if we require any assistance! Lidl is a stones throw away and there are other shop a short drive away. The walk to Chichester is about 15-20 minutes walk. Felt safe enough but the council man did give us a fright!
All paved, not really flat. It becomes quiet after 10 p.m. At 11 p.m. another lorry arrives to deliver supplies to the supermarket. After that it is very quiet, and at 6:30 another lorry arrives. From 8 a.m. onwards, customers come and go. Fine for one night. Now looking for somewhere where we can sleep in.
Good spot for the night, next to Lidl’s and very quiet at night.
Great park up before you get to Lidl. No parking restrictions. Space for at least 2 vans.
