Camping Paradiso

Very unusual and, at €53 for one night, not cheap. In return, you get a great location, an enchanting site, and a multi-page set of house rules. We liked it, despite the very daring but clean sanitary facilities. The restaurants within walking distance are also excellent.

Lovely place, but from one year to the next the prices doubled without justification while the services stayed the same. €48 for one van and two adults. Bicycles and motorcycles cost extra. Bathroom and shower cleanliness was not the best. Staff were just polite enough not to be called rude. They had no knowledge of basic English. We would have spent our entire holiday there if the price had not been exorbitant.

Basically a beautiful site with many plants. Unfortunately, this also means a lot of shade, which is not ideal in the current temperatures. There is no pitch with a reasonable amount of sun. The small sandy beach is about five minutes away. At the beginning of May, unfortunately everything in the region was still closed, including the bistro on the site. What a shame!

Beautiful location and site design. The sanitary facilities are unacceptable: the shower, toilet, and sink are all in one room. The shower water sprays throughout the entire cubicle because there is no partition. Grimy and dirty. Pitches are too small. In mid-April, €34 per day for a van and two people; a scooter costs an additional €3 per day. Restaurant closed. Showers cost 50 cents. No hot water for washing dishes.

Sanitary facilities urgently need renovation! But the campsite atmosphere is lovely and the location is excellent. We stayed three nights and explored the nearby cliffs by bicycle. Great pizzeria and small supermarket nearby. Small sandy beach that is not overcrowded, and wonderful sunsets! But please, dear operators—new sanitary facilities.

We have mixed feelings. The site itself is really beautiful: close to the sea, with shaded pitches separated by plants. However, the sanitary facilities are mouldy and generally did not look very clean. And, as many have already described, there are various unnecessary extra costs.

Well-maintained and clean campsite. But we spent €36 for two people without electricity. Moreover, if you want to go out in the evening, they may lock you out, even if you arrive at midnight, as happened to us. On departure they charged us the full rate, even though we slept in the car park below the campsite, which I recommend because there are three free spaces, one of them shaded.

It could be a nice place. When we arrived at 6 p.m., we were rudely received and it almost seemed as if we were a nuisance. The price is a little excessive: €37 to spend the night, parking only without electricity, and we had to leave by noon. We thought we would stay two days, but we left in the morning. I did not understand why there is an extra charge for bicycles or motorcycles. Lots of mosquitoes.

Simple and comfortable campsite, well maintained and right by the sea.

Very charming campsite, with clearly defined and shaded pitches; sanitary facilities are fine (hot showers are paid, as everywhere in Puglia). There is a shop, but bread in the morning is missing. The beach is next door. The only downside for us was that the receptionist did not speak much English and, despite our efforts in Italian, was not very understanding or friendly. But the campsite is worth it!

Charming campsite with a few beautiful sea-view pitches. We were stuck between the sanitary facilities and the road, and were welcomed by a rather unfriendly man. We had a trailer with bicycles on it, and were charged €10 per day for the trailer plus €1 per day for each bicycle on the trailer—outrageous.

We got a great pitch with a sea view. The woman at reception speaks perfect German and is very open and helpful. The name Paradiso suits the campsite perfectly. We would gladly return.

Beach in front of the campsite. Clean, well-delimited pitches, almost all shaded. Courteous and helpful staff. As already mentioned, the daily bicycle charge is unjustifiable, and the shower area needs modernising. Overall recommended.

We return every year to this small, family-run campsite. It is quiet, completely shaded, and by the sea. The facilities are basic but clean. The beach is sandy and rocky, and the sea is wonderful. Umbrellas and sun loungers can be rented about 200 m away.

We stayed there on 19 June. The manager is very stressed. The campsite is well located, near the sea, and quiet, but dusty. €24 per night.

I do not understand why they charge €1 per day for every bicycle carried along! It is the first time I have encountered such a request.

Very green and flower-filled campsite. Spacious pitches. Close to a small, quiet beach. No pool and no entertainment, so it is peaceful. Access to the sea requires crossing a small road. €24 for two people and a minivan. Sanitary facilities are cramped but clean. Showers use tokens: €0.50 for four minutes.

Beautiful campsite with well-divided pitches. Well-maintained grounds with many plants. Very friendly and helpful staff. One lady also speaks perfect German and is originally from Zurich. The beach is easy to reach. As others have written, the showers and sanitary facilities need improvement. We have been camping for over 50 years, but I have never seen or experienced this before. They charge €1 per motorcycle, bicycle, or scooter. I refused to pay, and the lady said she would report it to the owner and try to change it. I am curious whether and how this is handled for others.

Ideal location for the sea, with friendly and helpful staff. Pitches are not very spacious, except for two. Fair prices, although the bathrooms should be modernised; they are always clean.

The campsite is currently closed due to the owner’s illness. Only self-sufficient campers are admitted.

Pleasant campsite with everything essential. The owner is nice, and the pitches are attractive and well divided by hedges. The sanitary facilities are in ageing prefabricated units. Token-operated shower (€0.50 per token). An enormous number of mosquitoes—bring the necessary protection. Nice beach nearby, although the road runs alongside the campsite.

A fantastic place. The sea is right outside the door; natural pools are to the left and a small beach to the right. Shaded pitches beneath pine trees. Very friendly staff who also speak German.

Small campsite; I stayed for three days until Ferragosto. €53 per day for a camper, two adults, and an 11-year-old child. The bathroom facilities are in prefabricated units with a shower and toilet. The shower costs €0.50 for four minutes and can be stopped. You can request a key for €1 for an unlimited shower. Sea-front location. No shop, but you can order a fish barbecue. Spacious pitches. Recommended.

Small but reasonably shaded pitches, some with sea views and others on the roadside. A very unusual place full of carefully tended plants, but the facilities block is somewhat old and the showers are paid. The former shop/restaurant area is sad because it is almost abandoned. You can order bread and other items, as well as a very good takeaway fish barbecue.

It looks more like a botanical garden than a campsite. We spent Ferragosto week in complete tranquillity. Fantastic and not expensive.

Dreamlike, beautifully landscaped campsite, but unfortunately very dated. Not 5 stars because the showers and toilets are in the same cubicle, so everything quickly gets flooded. Too much is also charged for an additional tent. The beach is very close on foot and swimming is fantastic.

A true family-run Italian campsite: warm welcome, lovely pitch with sea view and direct access, close to the beach on foot, and 4 km from Santa Maria di Leuca. You feel very comfortable here!

Well-located campsite, shaded pitch, clean facilities, €0.50 for a four-minute shower. Busy road along the campsite, with direct access to the sea, rocks or sand. Price: €20 per vehicle, €11 per person, plus €1 tourist tax per person, so €44 per night for two people and a van.

Vintage campsite but very clean, with lots of shade and kindness. Mr. Francesco recommends many good things to eat, so trust him. The sea is 150 meters away; go there and you will be satisfied. They also have unlimited showers for €1. Top, top, top! We will definitely return.
