Unnamed Road, 19017, Volastra
Been here?
Cemetery parking set back from the road above Volastra, with space for 4 or 5 vans. Access is narrow and somewhat steep, while the parking itself is flat, quiet and surrounded by forest. Police have recently asked campers to leave and stated that overnight stays were not permitted. A water point is at the village entrance, and garbage collection passes at 7:30.

The police asked us to leave at midday; we were only there for a picnic stop, with nothing outside the van, and we have a small T3 van.
The police came to tell us that it was not possible to stay overnight here.
Unfortunately, contrary to the previous comment, the police told us to leave. We were properly parked without a table or chairs and have a small van. What a shame—it was really nice!
Nice place to visit Cinque Terre! We stayed there 2 nights with 3 other campers, one morning at around 10 the police came and told us not to place tables and chairs, staying the night was obviously not a problem. The way up is a bit steep and small, but for us (VW T4) not a problem.
Flat parking area with rubbish bins and water (not drinkable). Very quiet, little traffic, and surrounded by pleasant woodland. Ten minutes from the village of Volastra, from which there is a bus to visit Manarola. On foot, it takes just under an hour each way with a significant elevation gain; the path begins in Volastra.
We spent a quiet night here. There were 3 or 4 vans and one motorhome. No traffic during the night. Around 6 a.m. the rubbish collectors came for a few minutes and left. Relatively clean; please help keep it that way. Easy access day and night.
Good place from which to start the Cinque Terre hikes. Room for 3 vans without disturbing people coming to pay their respects. Flat, with a nice view. Let’s respect the place and those coming to pay their respects by leaving no trace and remaining quiet.
