Been here?
A free, central and level car park that is usually very quiet overnight, with supermarkets, pubs, takeaways, and a fish-and-chip shop nearby. It is better suited to vans than larger motorhomes, with narrow car-sized bays and limited availability during the day. Toilets are nearby but closed overnight; opening times are 7am to 8pm from April to September and 8am to 5pm from October to March.

Not really suitable for motorhomes, just car spaces, and no spaces available. Maybe there are fewer people at night, but definitely don't commit to it unless you're in a van.
Quiet. Level car park, perfect for our stopover ??
Fantastic stop! right in the centre with supermarkets, pubs and takeaways on the door step. Very quiet and perfectly safe
Stayed here 1 night and it was perfect. We picked a spot tucked away in the corner and it was really quiet. Top tip, visit the Pantry just around the corner for an awesome breakfast and cakes.
Very good for vans but not for large motorhomes. Very quiet at night and almost empty. Toilets are on the street west of the car park, heading towards the town centre.
Quiet car park, toilet nearby (but it was already closed at 7 p.m.). Great stopover.
A diamond in the rough...
Now, at 8 p.m., the place is fairly empty; during the day it is full of cars. It is tight and unsuitable for larger motorhomes. The corner spot mentioned in the description is only free in the early evening at the latest. I had real trouble parking my small VW bus in the afternoon because the parking bays are narrow. But if you arrive late and leave early... it is completely empty at night.
Toilets closed overnight. Open April to September: 7am to 8pm and October to March: 8am to 5pm
Not the most charming, but really quiet. I tucked away in a corner to not be in the way. I was the only one in evening/night. Toilets side street Downeys Wind, heated and clean.
Very nice and quiet parking for over night. Very warm and pleasant toilets available just around the corner. A lovely nights sleep. Our Vellfire Camper fitted nicely into marked bay. Very friendly people.
The road layout is a bit confusing, with one-way streets and no turns heading in, but the car park was empty and tidy when we arrived around 8 p.m. A few kids played football at night and people walked around, but there were no issues. Close to shops and so on.
Lovely large car park, shops and cafes nearby. Was a bit noisy with people walking through until about 7.30pm then nice and quite. Very busy during the day felt very safe , no issues, on our way to the port so good free layover.
