Fluela Pass, 7542, Zernez
Been here?
Roadside lay-by at the Flüela Pass next to the Inn river, popular as a free overnight stop despite camping being officially banned in the pass. Most travellers report peaceful, undisturbed nights, though police occasionally check and have moved people on without fines. Ground is somewhat uneven, road noise is audible but fades at night, and there's a short riverside walking trail nearby. Only a bin is provided; no other facilities. Fine for vehicles up to about 7m.

Okay place, lots of flies. However, camping or spending the night in a vehicle is not allowed anywhere along the Flüela Pass, so I did not want to try during peak season. Farther east, I found the view more stunning, overlooking the entire valley.Translating
Very beautiful place. Great view of the mountains and the river. Unfortunately, the ground is quite uneven. We stayed there for one night with two other motorhomes.Translating
Good for a free spot, nice walking trail nearby. Some road noise but quiet at night. We arrived at 7pm and left at 8am, no issues
I stayed one night, arriving late and leaving around 9 in the morning. No problem spending the night. There were already three campers parked, so it was almost full. There is a very nice river farther down. Some noise from passing cars.Translating
Stopped for a hike. Was going to stay over but to many passers-by were hooting and so I decided to leave. It may seem like a decent spot to spend the night but it is also in the Flüela valley so may not be allowed? I wish I didn't have to drive all the way to Italy for a free spot though. This is where I will say its typical Swiss local rules. Not sure about the real regulations though.
Stayed here one night. Quiet and undisturbed, but we arrived late and left early. Pretty spot.Translating
Very nice, clean lay-by at the side of main road. Stayed with 1x other campervan and a lorry. Very peaceful and amazing views, but no facilities other than a bin
Beautiful place, had a wonderfully peaceful night. Unfortunately, around 8:30 in the morning, the police kindly told us that camping is prohibited. We were not fined, only warned.Translating
Roadside site, but large and spacious, especially since wild camping is not allowed in the surrounding area. Very beautiful view, and if you are lucky you may spot chamois, ibex, or marmots.Translating
There is a flat, approximately 30-minute circular walk along the river. The parking area is fairly level; I was there only for a break.Translating
Fantastic! I stayed for two nights with no problem. The police drove through once but did nothing. Traffic can barely be heard, and at night you only hear the river. The beautiful river is a three-minute walk away, followed by a small, dreamy circular hike. Highly recommended! Mountain views.Translating
Parking bay directly beside the road and the Inn River. Perfect for one or two nights. Somewhat uneven, but easy to level with blocks.Translating
A lot of traffic, but completely fine for one night. After a short search I found a spot that was completely level. After a while, two more cars joined us to spend the night here.Translating
Perfectly fine for one night. We stayed there with a truck and a car.Translating
