Unnamed Road, KA19 8JS, Croy
Been here?
A free beachside parking area reached by a narrow single-track road, with direct access to the sea and sea views from the higher section. The ground is uneven in places, and recent reports say the toilets are locked and there are no other services. Nights are generally quiet, though larger vehicles may find access difficult.

Very nice little spot, right on the beach, if you park at the higher level it's much quieter without cars, but some parts are not perfectly level. I had decent signal on EE. Large bin available and direct access to the sea. Amazing sunset!
A 2 km single-track road with no official passing places, manageable for small campers. The upper spaces have sea views. No facilities or shade. No 4G. Quiet night.
A dreamlike place directly by the sea. We really enjoyed it. We parked below. The site was very clean and we hope it stays that way. In the evening we thought porpoises were swimming offshore. When they jumped out of the water, we realised they were dolphins. So beautiful!
Extraordinary sea view, with nobody around you. Slightly sloping in places, but I highly recommend it!
Great stop, huge car park, completely empty. Toilets locked and no signal, but really quiet.
I parked here in the afternoon intending to stay, but as night drew in it felt a bit creepy as a woman alone so I moved on. But there was plenty of space, only one other car there, and the beach was beautiful and wild.
Lovely place to spend the night. You can see Culzean Castle if you walk along the beach, and there are sheltered spots to protect you from the wind. There is also a rubbish container.
Busy parking area. No facilities, but free. Beach access is behind the dunes.
Wonderful park-up! I stayed 2 nights in the upper car park with sea views. Very quiet, locals in cars through the day (although not many during rain!) but friendly and no one seemed to be bothered about vans. There were 5 one night and 3 the second. The dogs loved the quiet beach. Large bin as well to get rid of rubbish.
Spent two blissful nights here. View of the sea from bed, empty beach, and cold morning dips. Only about 3 vans here with us. The road to get here was fine for our fiat Ducato but bigger vehicles might struggle a little more. So grateful for beautiful spots like this!
Single road entrance which is a problem if you meet another vehicle. The sea view is mostly blocked with bushes and it’s impossible to get a wi-fi signal. I would not recommend.
Fabulous beachside stay.
Great spot, with narrow access and a passing place. The beach is lovely. Watch out for ticks: our dog picked one up despite not being in the grass for long. Oddly, we found one on our van too! It is a shame the toilets have been out of use for so long, but the parking area is very spacious, making for a peaceful night with the sound of waves. Definitely recommended.
Good place. There are a few spaces where the hedge does not block the beach. Only three motorhomes in July. Little or no mobile signal.
Somewhat uneven gravel-and-asphalt parking area on two levels, surrounded by bushes and trees. With a bit of luck, there is also a sea view. Toilets out of order. Otherwise very quiet overnight and perfect for walking the dog.
Beautiful spacious site, very quiet at night. Not completely level. Lovely view of the beach. A rubbish bin is available. No 4G signal.
We parked on the top section as there were cars on the low part. Fantastic location. Culzean Castle visible across the bay. The most gorgeous sunset over Aran. The huge bin was overflowing, but it was a sunny & busy weekend. The approach road isn't very steep, but it's bendy with only a couple of passing places. We would definitely stay again.
Stayed here for 2 nights and WOW, the sunset over Aaron was one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen, very busy during the day with around 100 cars but once it got to about 8pm it completely died down, few campers stayed overnight but there is so much space you don’t need to worry about being too close to someone else, now one of my favourite spots. Toilets closed but large bin available
Fantastic spot. If you want peace and quiet then this is the place. We loved it and spent two nights there. No internet due to location but we loved the walks and their was NO ejits revving cars at midnight. Our best spot yet
superb spot right on the beach..we were the only ones here which surprised us but no complaints. Thanks to the local council for providing this and as ever keep it tidy
Amazing views and a very peaceful nights sleep i only wish there was an honesty box or something so I could show my appreciation.
A lot of local traffic in the evening from people coming to the sea, but nothing at night. Very quiet, level, and with a sea view; you are lulled to sleep by the waves.
huge carpark located next to the beach . space for 50/100 vans with upper and lower car park . . . no toilets but does have bins . fantastic spot for any one looking for good access to the beach or incredible views . would definitely stay again 9/10
