Lakeside parking, quiet overnight

stayed one night on the parking. quiet road and great access to the lake.

Parking beside a very lightly trafficked road at night. We slept very well. Swimming is possible just below. Excellent.

We had a wonderful night here. Importantly, what the photos do not show is that you park alongside the road. You can easily walk to the little beach, where there are also picnic tables but no bin. Some cars pass while it is light, but once it gets dark there is practically nothing. Since it is an official parking area, we expect that overnight stays are actually allowed here.

Excellent place to spend the night in this area, perhaps the best, for following the route to the Misarela Bridge and Pitões das Júnias.

We spent one night alone; nobody else was there. Very quiet at night despite the road beside it. A wonderful morning swim at Praia da Barca. There are also picnic tables and other facilities for enjoying nature and the views. Highly recommended.
