A861, PH38 4ND
Been here?
This newly created car park on the A861 offers a striking panorama, hard standing and a picnic table. Overnight stays are possible, but the parking area is very sloped and has no bins or other facilities. Road noise continues until about 22.00, after which the area is quiet. Red deer have been seen nearby.

We didn’t stay overnight but it would be an excellent option. Stopped off to admire the views. Stunning.
Nice spot to park and stay the night. Beautiful view, we even spotted some red deer. There’s a picknick table, but no bins (or other facilities) so please take your trash. It’s next to the road, so you’ll get some ‘noise’ till about 22.00. But during the night it’s quiet, so we got a good night sleep. No (or very poor) phone signal. We were here with 2 other vans/motorhomes.
Gorgeous peaceful spot, amazing views. No facilities, I am with EE and did have a mobile signal.
Sublime place with an incredible sunset. We were alone for the night! I highly recommend this place!
Very good, but it is not “slightly sloped”; it is “very steep.” Do not expect to get level.
Great views, 3 vans the night we stayed.
Great parking spot. Fairly level but a bit of a general slope. Hard standing. A few vehicles evening and morning but night was quiet. Would recommend.
Hard standing, fairly level but some parts on a slight slope. Quiet at night just a couple of cars and hour. 4g but very weak signal (using 4g booster). pretty neat view as high up.
Open view, enough space for 4 or even 5 motorhomes; however, little phone signal and beside a fairly busy road from early morning.
This is a large car park with a single picnic bench. The view is gorgeous. Quite quiet with just a couple of other people stopping briefly while I was there. I have only knocked a star off because there is absolutely no phone signal and I do worry in case of an emergency about being unreachable. Also it's very exposed, my van was being battered by the wind!
