Been here?
Friendly family campsite on Lake Orta with a private beach, lakeside pitches, electricity, pizzeria, and clean sanitary facilities with free hot water. It is a good base for visiting San Giulio Island, with a promenade and boat landing nearby; tickets are sold at the campsite. Recent examples include 60€ for 2 nights for 2 adults and a campervan, while washing-machine tokens cost 5€. The nearby road is noisy during the day, and some pitches are small or cramped.

Campsite by the lake with a very pleasant private beach. Very friendly staff. Easy access to water and electricity. Very clean showers and toilets, with hot water available free of charge. All this at a fairly affordable price. The only downside is that there were enormous numbers of mosquitoes because of the proximity of the lake. Apart from that, the campsite is incredible; I recommend it.Translating
A very beautiful campsite with well-maintained grounds and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and always available for guests. The sanitary facilities are clean and regularly maintained. We particularly liked the private beach, which is ideal for swimming and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.Translating
We were there at the end of April 2026 with our bus. Very friendly hosts who speak German willingly and well; fairly new and very well-maintained sanitary facilities. Great peace and quiet in the area and on the site.Translating
Reasonable price by the lake, with a very pleasant small private beach and a launching area for canoes.Translating
Perfect campsite for overnight stays and visiting San Giulio Island. Very welcoming and available staff. Clean sanitary facilities and hot water. No toilet paper available. Lakeside location with a promenade and pier nearby. Tickets are sold at the campsite. The nearby road is noisy during the day.Translating
Stayed here for two nights. Lakeside pitch, two adults and a campervan. Total of €60. Every single member of staff was so lovely and the views from the site couldn’t have been better. Pitches were spacious, toilets and sanitary block were very clean. A token for the washing machine was €5, and the same for the dryer. Absolutely loved it!
The advantages here are the great view of the lake, the opportunity to swim, the campsite operators’ super-friendly and attentive service, and the good restaurant. The water was always hot enough. The disadvantage is simply the limited space. You have to accept that. Good starting point for mountain-bike tours. The ferry to the island or the opposite shore leaves behind the adjacent hotel.Translating
The only good thing about this site is its location directly on the lake with its own beach. The pitches are very small, and the site is very noisy because of the road and railway tracks. Hot water in the showers is a gamble. We only had lukewarm water. The same applies to the washing-up sinks. There is no toilet paper or soap in the toilet buildings!Translating
Small campsite with well-shaded pitches, large enough for our 8-meter vehicle. The staff are lovely. Access to the small sandy beach with clear water is great. The gourmet restaurant 100 meters away, at the hotel next door, is excellent. The magnificent old town of San Giulia, 3 km away, is worth visiting; it is a shame there is no pedestrian path leading there.Translating
Small campsite with a magnificent view of Lake Orta. Pitches are fairly tight but shaded. Magnificent small beach with crystal-clear water and a diving board for children. You can kayak or paddleboard to Orta San Giulio. We absolutely loved this campsite!Translating
Rather nice campsite, but the prices seem high to us: €5.50 per night for a 1.5-kilo toy Yorkie. The downside is the evening noise: a restaurant in the village center, a busy road, trains at night, and noise from the hotel car park, with doors slamming and fairly loud chatter. We stayed for two nights.Translating
Very nice campsite, perfectly suited to families. Access to the lake with a shallow beach, therefore also suitable for smaller children.Translating
Friendly smiles and welcome—in French. Very convenient for visiting the lake. Restaurant with a lake view and very good dishes.Translating
Charming small, human-scale campsite on the shores of the lovely Lake Orta. All amenities on site: showers, toilets, and a restaurant. A few minutes from the village of Orta by vehicle, as the road is not suitable for pedestrians. The only drawback: reception closes at 7 p.m. Be careful! We arrived later, around 8 p.m., and the guard had us sleep in the car park in front of the entrance despite the deposit already having been paid.Translating
Very friendly welcome. They speak French. We arrived just in time for the 7 p.m. check-in. Our pitch was by the lake with private beach access. Highly recommended.Translating
Great campsite. We had a pitch facing the lake. The staff are lovely. Toilets, shower, and washing machine all fine. Restaurant available on site.Translating
Very pleasant and accommodating campsite staff. There were two of us with a van and a dog, and we paid €50, which we found too expensive for one night—rather expensive for a pitch packed tightly next to the others. Direct access to the beach, and you can still swim nearby with your dog!Translating
A fairly small campsite with extremely nice, very helpful staff. All the pitches are wonderfully shady. The beach is small but lovely. Unfortunately, there are no trees for shade. We missed having toilet paper and soap. The men’s bathroom was clean; the women’s was unfortunately rather dirty. The freight trains disturbed us at night. Overall, somewhat too expensive for the package.Translating
We spent two nights. Small campsite but a very pleasant stay. Very friendly staff, and some even speak Spanish. The campsite’s private beach is great for a dip. Clean, fully equipped facilities. Highly recommended.Translating
A small campsite just as we like them! Warm welcome in French, clean sanitary facilities, shaded pitches, and best of all, a private beach for swimming in Lake Orta. You can take the boat to Orta from the pier at Approdo right next door, or to Pettenasco, a 10-minute walk along the lake. Also an excellent base for exploring the western shore of Lake Maggiore.Translating
