Been here?
A sublime wild spot beside the forest, with a shepherd’s hut, fire pit and 360-degree views. The area is calm, beautiful at sunrise and offers flat parking, but the access track is steep and takes about 15 minutes. Access is difficult and suited to a light vehicle or 4x4; horseflies have also made staying impossible.

We spent the night here; the place was very quiet and beautiful at dawn. We stopped 300 meters farther down; you need to take your time, but the road is manageable. Take your rubbish and toilet paper with you; let’s preserve these places. (Converted ix35)
The view is superb! However, access is difficult, especially when coming from Niaux, and we could not stay because the place was overrun with horseflies.
Incredible view, peace and quiet, with level parking. But there is a very steep track for 15 minutes on the way up. We met farmers grazing their animals on the land, annoyed by visitors leaving rubbish and toilet paper behind. Please be careful and keep this beautiful site CLEAN.
