Unnamed Road, 46459, Rees
Been here?
A small natural parking area between the Altrhein and Rhine in a nature reserve, beside a quiet road and close to the river. There are no facilities, and the site holds up to 4 campers, though it becomes cramped; vehicles over 6m may find it difficult. Recent reports mention full afternoon sun, occasional traffic, and a strong urine smell from roadside stopping.

The photos give a false impression. In the evening the area is completely in the sun, so it is unsuitable for hot days. It is also right beside the road. When we were there, it smelled extremely strongly of urine, probably because many drivers stop briefly to relieve themselves. We left again.Translating
Quiet place; we slept wonderfully here. Little traffic, and from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. there were hardly any cars to hear. Fine for a peaceful stopover.Translating
Small but pleasant, clean and a lovely little field. A car passes occasionally, but it is not much of a nuisance.Translating
A great spot in nature. There is nothing here except peace, apart from a few passing cars. Wonderful. Suitable for vehicles up to 6 metres; larger ones will find it tight.Translating
Very small, uneven car park, probably intended more for cars. Unremarkable and directly beside the road. With no alternatives, it would certainly be okay for one night, but we drove on because there are much nicer spots nearby.Translating
Great location between the Old Rhine and Rhine rivers in a nature reserve. Please behave accordingly. Space for a maximum of four campers; after that it gets cramped. Large trucks use the small road in the morning, hence one star deducted.Translating
The place looked very inviting. Unfortunately, I could not park because a camper with a trailer was blocking the entire car park, leaving no room even for a bicycle. A shame, as there was actually enough space for several vehicles. I slept 500 metres away in the church car park.Translating
Clean, wonderful surroundings, and very quiet despite the road. You can also reach the water easily if you explore the area.Translating
Beautiful natural spot. We spent a peaceful night there alone. Several tractors make noise in the morning, but it is all within reason.Translating
Quiet. Not gorgeous but not bad. Perfectly acceptable if you’re in the area.
Stayed one night; a very busy road next to it, and the car park was also full of fishermen. Still, it is nice that you can park somewhere free in this region.Translating
Top spot. Quiet. Lots of birds. Next to a road, but you do not notice it at night.Translating
