Been here?
A quiet, shaded spot beside the reservoir, with beautiful views and a nearby narrow path towards the swamp’s tail. There are no services, no phone coverage and no safe access to the water. Access is by an inclined, rough forest track, with some approaches requiring 4x4 capability. A sign on the access road prohibits camping.

Quiet area, with shade and beautiful views of the reservoir. No services of any kind—tables, benches or fountain. No phone coverage either. We went at the end of August and there were no mosquitoes. Access is via a somewhat steep track, but it is accessible without a 4x4.
The drive was not worth it for us. From the north it is almost 20 km of dirt track; from the south, 5 km. There is no safe access to the water. It may be better at maximum water level. There is a no-camping sign on the access road. No mobile coverage.
Magnificent place!
The place is idyllic and fabulous, but you have to dare to get there. Forest tracks from Sinarcas, where there is a perfect service area for filling and emptying water. At first the tracks are firm, but after 4 km they become more damaged. The problem may be getting out and climbing back up, and you will have no signal. Four-wheel drive would be better, but it is completely worth it!
Motorhomes and large vehicles can forget this spot. Ten kilometers of 4x4 track. Magnificent, preserved place in nature with crystal-clear water. It is an old swimming pool or campsite, with very few parking possibilities and especially no flat spaces. A sign says ‘no parking, no camping.’ Hiking, swimming and kayaking are fine. Rare place without rubbish, except for toilet paper. Preserve nature.
