7 Am Sportplatz, 26939, Ovelgönne
Been here?
This is a free municipal motorhome area beside a school, partly shaded by oak trees, with electricity, waste separation and supply and disposal facilities. Recent stays were very quiet, especially during holidays, although the nearby road and school may bring more activity at other times. Vehicles around 7.5m fit without problems, while 10m vehicles may extend towards the road. The village centre has restaurants, a bakery, shops and a craft museum, with cycling and walking routes nearby.

A genuinely very well-maintained motorhome pitch provided by the municipality. Water and waste services, electricity, shade from trees, and even waste separation are available. I was there during the holiday season and it was very quiet, despite the school directly opposite. Warning: three trees currently carry warnings about processionary caterpillars. I did not see any nests; perhaps they had already been removed.
Beautiful site directly next to a primary school. Outside school hours, you may use its playground and small football pitch with handball goals. We cannot confirm the description saying vehicles over 6 metres cannot use the pitches. At 7.5 metres, we had no problem and there would still have been room. Water is available only for €1, which is unfortunate if you need less.
Many heartfelt thanks to the municipality of Ovelgönne and to the people who work there to look after and maintain this motorhome pitch. Super clean and well kept. Disposal and supply facilities are excellent. Overnight stays are possible and it is very quiet. The village bakery is just a few minutes away and is always worth a visit for fresh rolls and croissants.
Warning: 10-metre campers extend to the road, so we parked opposite, parallel to the road. Everything was empty, so we were also able to empty the fixed tank. The drainage channel is a little short and poorly positioned, so we had to block the road to the parking area. Drainage and water pressure were fine. Very busy during the day from 7:15 a.m.; very quiet in the evening.
01/04/26. Had a great night here. Very quiet overnight and just a little traffic in the morning (however the school was closed and it is the Easter Holidays).
We stayed here from Saturday to Sunday. It was nice and quiet. A few cars came by. There is a disposal station, but we did not need it. A school and kindergarten are directly behind the pitch!
Very quiet and well-maintained motorhome pitch. We had a really lovely night here, even stargazing.
We slept wonderfully peacefully here. You can get water for a fee, empty the toilet for free, and enjoy beautiful walks or bike rides in the area. Sleeping is quiet during the holidays. I can imagine it is busier normally, as it is next to the school. We were there with two other campers.
Great place. We did a quick service stop; the only drawback is the small drainage grate, which is difficult to drive over and line up with. Quiet and peaceful at the weekend.
A good free place for one night. Thank you for that. Everything works and the pitches are a good size. Unfortunately, the narrow access road is very busy during the day and evening, so it only became quiet from around 10 p.m.
We stayed here at the weekend. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation is in exactly the right place. Water and waste facilities and electricity are all available. Thanks to the municipality.
