A very thoughtfully designed motorhome pitch with a warm-hearted winemaking family. We got a place without booking in advance and were warmly welcomed. We could taste the delicious wines in the wine shop, and there is also a self-service refrigerator. We particularly liked how beautifully the family designed the new site down to the smallest detail. The Schäfer family makes a great effort. Of course, they want to attract wine customers, so please bear that in mind. The wine is very good. Grass pitch in quiet surroundings. A bathroom with shower and toilet is available; for €4 extra for two people, you get a key. Electricity, water, and disposal included. No drain for grey water; it can be emptied with a bucket or similar. Preferably use only biological toilet additive.✦Translating

An absolutely fantastic motorhome pitch! Located in the middle of nature, surrounded by idyllic vineyards. The sunset is simply magical in the evening—an absolute highlight. The hosts are warm and attentive and made us feel welcome immediately. Anyone who wants peace, nature, and a little wine romance is in exactly the right place here. We would gladly return! A very flat, slightly damp, field at the Volker Schafer winery in Mettenheim after quite a lot of rain. Water and electricity on pitch, black water disposal point and free WiFi included for 18€ a night, wine tastings in the morning and complimentary sunset. I think that’s worth 5 stars.
