Schönachhof / Camping Gerlos

We have already been here five times because the site and location offer everything we need. You can start hiking or cycling directly from the site, or take the gondola and bus for free. We will certainly come back.

Great little campsite in a quiet location. Beautiful hikes are possible directly from the site. Restaurants are reachable on foot in 5–10 minutes. Everything is very well maintained and in good condition.

A nice campsite with great facilities, everything is clean and modern. Beautiful views, and it's a peaceful and cosy area where you mostly just hear cow bells (although unfortunately, you often clearly smell the cows too). A bit expensive perhaps for a place so remote.

A wonderfully peaceful campsite in a fantastic location, with beautiful mountain views beside a farm. The sanitary facilities are outstanding! Thoroughly cleaned several times a day. Bread service available; order by 5 p.m. the day before. Good Wi-Fi. The center with restaurants and a supermarket is within walking distance.

A very nice spot to stay, surrounded by picturesque landscapes, Gerlos with shops nearby. Top facilities (the best we have experienced so far, clean, toilet paper and hair dryer provided, showers with shower hoses), CASH ONLY, we paid 50€/night for 2 adults and 1 car, the lady at the reception didn’t speak English at all.

Small campsite next to a farm, starting point for hikes, 15 minutes by bike from a lake. The facilities are clean. The only downside is the price—I think it depends on the customer. We paid €40 per night without electricity for a van and two people. A little expensive considering the geographical location.

Very beautiful view of the countryside and modern, clean sanitary facilities. It is somewhat remote if you want to do something, but otherwise really tip-top. There is even a playground for children.

Unfriendly welcome. We had to wait outside in the rain; after parking the camper, we had to return to reception for the key to the electricity box, waiting in the rain again. Later we filled out a form indoors. Otherwise everything is very beautiful and good, and the shower is wonderful!

A very nice site, quietly located in a side valley. Ideal for hiking and winter sports. New and very clean sanitary facilities. Nice and friendly operators. We will return.

Very quiet. Beautiful location. Campsite and motorhome area. The motorhome area has 8 spaces. The operator is very helpful. Everything is available: shower, water and waste disposal. Directly on hiking and cycling paths. Wonderful nature.

We arrived without a reservation at around 7 p.m. on a Friday in August. They found us a place and we were able to stay. Everything is very new and super clean. The entrance and exit through the cattle grid is a little narrow. Somewhat expensive if you only use the parking space.

We arrived without booking. Despite somewhat rude manners and speaking exclusively German, he still found us a pitch for one night. Quiet, very clean and modern facilities, spacious pitches. We would have stayed longer, but everything was booked… Four people and a dog, without electricity (our choice): €52. Super!

The person who received us was as unpleasant as possible: no hello, no information, so we did not stay.

Excellent location! Extremely clean and modern sanitary facilities, including a rain shower. Even the chemical toilet cleaning area is excellent, with hot water! Spacious pitches. Good starting point for walks and bike rides. Excellent bread service. Within walking distance of two Spar supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

A beautiful situated campsite with some of the best services I've ever seen in a campsite. like a 4 star hotel. However the welcome leaves a lot to be desired. The worst, rudest front of house people we've yet encountered. Your made to feel like a nuisance. The loose barking dog is also not a good idea. Some people are nervous of Dogs.

If we could give 6 stars, we would have. Beautiful new and clean sanitary facilities. Lovely panoramas from our pitch. Two Spar supermarkets and plenty of dining options. Highly recommended. And that dog… he is simply a lovable gentle giant.

Don't be alarmed by the dog; it barks like crazy when you arrive, but is very sweet. Check-in was a bit strange and difficult because of our poor German, haha, but in the end everything was fine. The sanitary facilities are exceptionally good, and the showers are hot and unlimited. Lots of hiking opportunities. The site is being improved with trees, shrubs and a gravel surface. Two nights in a camper, two people, without electricity: €54.

I spontaneously got a place here and stayed for two nights. Modern, clean sanitary facilities and excellent showers. About 10 minutes from the Isskogel cable car in ski boots. One star deducted because it is expensive (€73 for one person with a van without electricity) and there is no card payment or receipt.
