Facilities include an organic shop, bakery, bistro with pizza and tarte flambée, and boat rental in high season. Online booking and digital check-in allow arrival until 9 p.m. Some roads are narrow, waterfront areas are crowded, and the sanitary facilities have recently been reported as old and unclean.

Very nice facility, with lots of potential and room for improvement. There is a beautiful lakeside area with many coves for swimming. Sandy beach, grass, sun, and shade. The playground needs improvement; some equipment could not be used. The sanitary facilities are very old and unfortunately not clean. The shop accepts card payments only, so the children cannot even buy an ice cream by themselves.
Very friendly welcome and beautiful campsite. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The evening cocktail service is excellent. Good boat rental with uncomplicated service. Everything is top-notch!
The site itself is very beautiful, but the paths are quite narrow. This makes some pitches difficult to access with a larger motorhome or a bus and trailer. The washroom cleaning times are unfortunately somewhat inconvenient. 10:15 a.m. is quite early. Unfortunately, there was always toilet paper on the floor in the toilets, which made them seem dirty.
Very large site. The first night we were there was good: few people and quiet. We used the cocktail taxi, which was a great idea, and also got fresh bread rolls and tarte flambée. We rented a boat too, so it was carefree overall. The only drawback was that the nearest sanitary building was relatively far from our pitch, but it was fine. The second night was the Pentecost weekend. It was packed and correspondingly noisy. Some campers played music at festival-camp volume. Children too, but that does not bother us and is somehow part of camping. So with a good pitch and few people, 4/5 stars; otherwise more like 2/5.
Very nice pitch, directly by the lake, beautiful sunsets, very kind staff, clean sanitary facilities, and a good starting point for bike tours.
Beautiful, quiet, idyllic campsite directly by the lake. Sanitary facilities always clean; the walk is a little longer if you stay directly by the lake, but you cannot have everything. Check-in and booking completely hassle-free. I cannot understand the negative reviews, but it always depends on how people treat one another. Highlight of the evening: the cocktail taxi. We will definitely return.
The location is beautiful. Near the shore it is very narrow and unsettled, and there is no beach, only several very small accesses to the shore, with no lounging areas because those are already the pitches. The short-stay rate of €45 plus tourist tax for a campervan, two adults, and one toddler is excessive, even though electricity and showers are included. Online check-in and automatic access are fine; the pitch numbering is poor, and even with the site map you need to be a pathfinder.
The campsite itself is good, but the traffic is annoying because half the campers do everything with their vehicles—emptying and filling, going to the shower, and getting bread rolls—so there is constant coming and going. Children use vacant pitches as a cross-country track with their bikes. An Aldi parking lot is no busier. And at €30+ this is annoying.
The campsite itself is very beautiful, but the sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. It is very dirty when it rains, and in the women’s showers there is so much hair in the drain that the water no longer drains. It is understandable that it gets dirtier in the rain, but they know this and could do extra cleaning. Therefore only two stars.
A very beautiful campsite with some pitches directly by the lake. Because of the hilly terrain, the size of the site is not bothersome; during our visit it was very quiet. Some permanent campers, but also pitches for vans, make this a place for everyone. A small, recommended organic shop and a bistro with delicious pizzas and tarte flambée complete the offering. The sanitary facilities are older but clean.
Booked online got a very nice place by the water. Good servicehouse. Nice little shop with organic products. Pizza and a cocktail ”taxi” but didn’t try that this time.
Very nice campsite; despite its size, it is quiet because the many trees and shrubs create lots of small areas. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. The only criticisms for me are the price and the lack of a proper restaurant. The existing bistro is okay, but nothing more.
Nice, quiet site. Large pitches. We had a few lovely days. The shopping options on site are more than adequate; unfortunately, the bread-roll order did not work completely. But these things happen. We will certainly return.
Actually a really great site, friendly staff, directly by the lake with its own boat rental, mini-market (card payments only), bread rolls, etc. Beautiful pitches with trees and hedges, very quiet and wonderfully situated in nature. One point deducted for the sanitary facilities, which are showing their age and unfortunately are not always completely clean. Otherwise it would be 5/5.
Really great campsite with a view of Lake Plau, very dog-friendly and overall worth a trip. Everything was very clean and the staff friendly. The pizza and cocktails taste good. Contactless payment is very convenient.
The site is very beautiful, but the price is absolutely unjustified. Only one shower house was open, and it was really far from our pitch. I think it is perfectly fine to have different price categories for pitches, but €8 per day just to choose a specific pitch is far too much. Great site, but the price-performance ratio is quite outrageous.
Very nice site. Showers and toilets are perfectly fine (not new but clean). Very spacious and exactly right for people with dogs. Easy booking and hassle-free arrival and departure.
Super beautiful campsite. It was pleasantly quiet during the Easter holidays. We were told that two dogs are no problem in the low season.
Very nice site with a great view of the lake. We booked a pitch online and were then able to change it on site after discussing it by phone. Very pleasant telephone contact. We are now in the second row by the lake with a wonderful sunset. Wonderful peace and quiet in the low season. Highly recommended both for passing through and for longer stays. We will remember this place!
We had only planned to stay one night, but because of the peace and the view, we extended our stay. Friendly staff, first-row pitch, beautiful view. Unfortunately, there is no bread-roll service during the week in the low season. Ideal for hiking, cycling, and water sports.
Very beautifully located site; small partitions make it feel smaller than it really is. There are currently very few guests, so it is wonderfully quiet and relaxed. We are here to enjoy some peace, recharge our batteries, and walk the dog, and our wishes are currently being fulfilled 100%.
Booking and online check-in were no problem. The next day we paid at reception by EC card. Family-friendly campsite by the lake with pitches for every preference, some a little close together. Electricity and sanitary facilities included in the price. The staff are friendly and competent. The two sanitary buildings are not the newest, but meet hygienic standards. A stay worth repeating.Translating
Beautiful and large, on the lake and with an incredible sunset. One star less because I think the price is too high. For two people with a van, one night cost €52. Bread and croissants can be ordered in the morning, and there is a small market. Very friendly staff and a drinks taxi for evening happy hour that drives around the campsite.Translating
We were on our way to the ferry in Rostock and wanted to stay overnight beforehand. Apparently, you were not allowed to stay for just one night, but the person at reception was able to arrange a pitch for us because we had come all the way there. Then we said we had two dogs, and suddenly we were no longer welcome; only one dog is allowed. Strange.Translating
Top spot in the first row, directly by the beach, wonderful sunset, highly recommended. The sanitary facilities are clean and serve their purpose. Some paths are a little long, but that is due to the great site design.Translating
