Rua do Mourão, 3860-089, Avanca
Been here?
A quiet picnic area near a hamlet, beside a lagoon, with tables and benches but little shade. Recent stays found it peaceful, although roosters, mosquitoes, rubbish, occasional mopeds, and bright lighting can affect the experience. The water and waste services do not work, and there are no nearby restaurants or shops.

It’s perfect, except that the emptying facilities and water do not work.
There is officially no longer anything indicating that caravans are allowed. But we stayed here comfortably for 2 nights. Great area and directly by the river. Teenagers sometimes cruise around on mopeds, but it is not bothersome. Roosters crow in the morning and the sunrise is perfectly visible. Ideal for cycling tours. Rubbish bin in the meadow, as well as benches. No facilities whatsoever.
I don’t really understand the partly very good reviews for this parking area. There is rubbish everywhere. Swarms of biting mosquitoes and an overzealous rooster that wakes you at 5 a.m. do not make the stay more pleasant. I am continually amazed by the extremely bright local-style lighting at night.
Quiet parking area without facilities!
We spent the night here a week ago. Arriving at night, the place seems a little "strange," but it is very quiet. A few locals passed by. We had breakfast near the nearby church, another Park4night spot, because it was nicer.
Beautiful, quiet parking area. A few benches and occasional tables on the grassy areas. We spent a peaceful night. Recommended.
Very beautiful and cozy spot. No services, but picnic tables and benches. Quiet. No restaurant or shopping facilities nearby. Simply enjoy and relax.
We spent the night here in February and it was relatively quiet. The spot is nice by the water, with benches, freshly mown grass, but apparently some construction is beginning. I recommend it.
Great quiet place by the nature. But never experienced so many flies in the morning and mosqitos in the evening. Also great sunset
Beautiful, quiet parking area without services. The GNR came by but said nothing. The night was very quiet; we were alone here.
We spent a quiet night here. In the evening, a few young people were still at the picnic areas, which actually gave a feeling of security. Very rural.
Certainly no services, but what peace and quiet—we loved this place. The GNR passed by without comment.
