Been here?
Large flat field next to playground, currently under construction with service area being installed. Previously free; may become paid after completion. Toilets 500m away. Quiet village famous for dozens of bookshops. No water or waste services operational yet.

Book village... we got lucky and browsed for a while before spending the night on the flat ground next to the service area, which is still under construction. No services, but very quiet. A few walkers and children at the playground. Okay for one night.
The dump station was still inaccessible on July 21. Works were scheduled to finish at the end of July. Camping-Car Park is moving in and will benefit from this beautiful, already well-equipped site at the municipality's expense. Good deal for that company, at the expense of motorhome users who will have to pay. Really disappointing. I will not come here again.
No access as of today. No services, no parking. Still under construction...
Construction work is now almost over. Not sure if they’re redoing the service area or digging it up, but you can park here. No services or really any trees but quiet and flat and nice enough for a night. The town is faded… if you want more than 3-4 bookshops open, it seems you need to come in July or August, preferably Sundays or public hols. But still sweet.
Hello, the aire is under construction for an indefinite period. The image of a village with so many book and comic-book shops is amusing. Bye, singing books.
Aire under construction; we continued on our way.
Great spot, quiet and flat. The village specializes in books and has dozens of bookshops, as well as two marked hiking trails. Be careful, the water station is out of order. They will replace it soon.
Peaceful and spacious place, with a beautiful view over the countryside. Fascinating village with its thirty bookshops, a cultural surprise. Thank you to the town hall for this much-appreciated welcome!
Very quiet. Very spacious. Playground nearby. If you do not cook yourself, Bacarat is 8 km away, where there is a large car park not far from the town hall.
I did not understand how to get water; it was not indicated whether tokens or coins were needed. I was able to empty the tanks, but therefore could not rinse my cassette because there was no water!
Nice place. Station frost-protected in winter.
A beautiful place, but be careful not to leave the lane in wet weather—we have just learned that the hard way!
Good stopover place for filling up; thank you to the municipality. WARNING regarding emptying: the bar on the ground is high because it has been torn up, and my motorhome cannot pass over it.
Very quiet night. Everything has already been said above. Today no tokens were needed; the water is running. Many thanks to the municipality.
Wonderful place, but the restaurant is closed. Good for one night with grey- and black-water services plus fresh-water filling. Very quiet.
We spent the night peacefully in a large green area for a few motorhomes. There were more than thirty of us, but we were few in number and the facilities were operational. Many thanks to the municipality and the neighbors for their understanding. Thank you to future campers for respecting the place for everyone's benefit.
Free drinking water for filling up, thank you to the municipality. Motorhome pitches and a playground.
Quiet parking area surrounded by greenery. We spent the night and did not use the services. We will return.
Nice flat meadow. Possibility of emptying grey and black water and filling up with free water. No shade. A lovely little playground for children and a football-basketball court. In the town center; after the small square there are public toilets, but when I arrived at around 8 p.m. they were already closed, and when I left at 7:30 a.m. they were still closed. Very quiet place.
Excellent spot in nature, quiet and spacious, with a playground for children, both young and old! Thank you to the municipality for this welcome!
Many thanks to the municipality for this peaceful place! Free, it allows us to buy more books from the village booksellers! Special mention to the La Porte Oubliée shop for the quality of its books and the owner's professionalism! Go there, you will love it. :)))
Grassy and quiet pitches. Free fresh-water distribution and wastewater collection. Thank you to the municipality.
Spent 2 nights: August 5&6. Super spot. Quiet. Booktown. Lovely, easy walk (uphill). No shade. Free services. Thanks, Fontenoy-La-Joûte!
