Fredensborg Camping

After a phone call, we spontaneously got a pitch for one night. The campsite operators are very nice. We were welcomed very warmly and even personally escorted to our pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean and tidy. With great attention to detail—lanterns, meadows separated by hedges, magnificent trees—there is a wonderful atmosphere.

A wonderful experience. A beautiful place immersed in nature where no detail has been overlooked. Everything is very well maintained and extremely clean. The owners are very welcoming... excellent energy and peace. I highly recommend it.

Top place! There is a large section with permanent pitches, but as a transient guest you don’t notice it. You stay in separate fields, beautifully situated among the trees. In the evening it is magically lit with bulbs high in the trees. Extremely friendly couple running the campsite. From Humlebæk (you can easily and free of charge park your camper near the station), you can take the train to Copenhagen: 40 minutes to the centre.

Very friendly couple. We stayed only one day. We will definitely come back here. Atmospheric campsite with beautiful flower boxes. When evening falls, a surprise awaits you. Above all, look at the trees!

A lovingly designed site with an incredibly friendly owner couple. They live and love the holiday region and their enthusiasm is infectious. You get great tips for excursions, sights, etc. Bicycles are recommended for exploring the region. Everything you need is provided, including a lovely communal kitchen.

Fortunately, Hellersdorf was full and they sent us to this wonderful place. Almost everyone has their own secluded pitch, allowing some privacy. How did they get all those many lanterns so high up in the trees? It looks great when it gets dark. Sanitary facilities are perfectly adequate and attractively designed.

We arrived after 8 p.m., but a phone call made it no problem to check in. Lovely, welcoming owners. Beautiful, peaceful pitches. Nice, clean sanitary facilities and kitchen. Definitely recommended, and we will certainly return.

Great site with lots of little nooks. Washing-up liquid and cloths are provided at the sink. There are also two gas hobs there, something I have never seen anywhere else. The owners are super nice and helpful. I felt very comfortable and would gladly come back.

A beautiful campsite with extremely nice and very helpful owners! A highlight is the many lanterns in the trees, which light up at night. Nice little outdoor kitchen, clean sanitary facilities—three minutes is quite sufficient. We would very gladly return! Thank you!

We spent three nights in this paradise. Excellent welcome and advice... Don’t hesitate to visit Helsingør, the Louisiana Museum and Frederiksborg.

Beautiful campsite with spacious pitches and lovely lanterns, helpful staff. Clean toilet block. Showers are very short: three minutes of hot water, and the water still has to heat up while the minutes are already running. You cannot pause the shower while soaping up.

A very cosy and peaceful place. The division into smaller areas with trees works really well. The campsite owner welcomed us warmly and showed us around the site. All facilities are in order.

Campsite in a green setting with many lanterns hanging from the trees, creating a lovely atmosphere in the evening. Clean showers and toilets. I didn’t expect it, but three minutes for the shower is more than enough. The owners are genuinely very kind and cheerful; they even said goodbye while we were leaving at checkout. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we arrived late and there was no pitch available. The owners were super nice and helpful. They allowed us to park for free in the driveway. We could also have used the sanitary facilities for a small fee, but that was not necessary. We can therefore only give limited information about the actual campsite.

Superb campsite: beautiful, spacious pitches, peaceful, and a very nice couple running it! You are close to everything—Louisiana Museum, Helsingør, etc.—and the owner gave us good advice about cycle paths and visits.

Very friendly people. They have lots of information about the surrounding area. Good sanitary facilities. And there are many cosy lanterns hanging in the trees that are switched on in the evening.

Very nice owners, beautiful site, lovingly designed. Sanitary facilities very clean. You need coins for the shower; we didn’t need it for one night, so I don’t know what they cost. Price for two people in a Caddy without electricity: 255 DKK (€34.17). Very inexpensive by Danish standards.

An exceptional welcome from the smiling, relaxed and extremely helpful couple running the site! Spacious, unmarked pitches near the sanitary block, at least for us. The birdsong is incredible and the lanterns attached to the trees are magical once night falls. We only intended to pass through, but ended up spending two nights and took advantage of it to cycle to Helsingør!

Perfect stopover to or from Sweden. Everything is just right. Uncomplicated, friendly......

Very warm-hearted couple running the site; they welcomed us with tips for excursions and maps for cycling tours. We were given a beautiful, spacious pitch on a parcelled area with four other campers. Older but always clean sanitary facilities. Birdsong and colourful lanterns in the trees create a lovely atmosphere. We stayed for three nights and felt very comfortable.

Wonderful campsite. Very warm welcome. Atmospherically laid out and furnished. What a peaceful and pleasant setting. Good drinking water. We had a beautiful, level pitch.

For the services, everything is under the owner’s supervision. Waste disposal with a basin, maximum 50 litres of fresh water. He is the one who unrolls the hose. We filled up with disgusting water with a chemical taste that stung our eyes! Not drinkable. Shameful for €41!!! No point putting ten lanterns around the campsite and looking friendly if you treat people like this. Run away! And there are no level pitches, even with levelling blocks.

Great starting point for a tour of the three castles! Very lovely operators and a beautiful atmosphere!
