Roadside parking, unsuitable for sleeping

We parked to visit the city. The entire street is shaded, very important when traveling with dogs. We were able to park a 6-meter camper without difficulty at around 1:30 p.m., very close to the entrance gate in the wall. I don't think it is a good option for sleeping because of the slope and the large number of cars passing by.✦Translating

A little on the narrow side, so take care opening your doors. There is a lot of traffic, but it calms down a little as the evening draws in. Much quieter by night. And it did feel safe. We did sleep here, but moved on for breakfast elsewhere. This is a great free location to access the city. Don’t leave Tuscany without visiting Siena.

We were lucky to find a space for our 7-meter van. The vehicle must not be too wide, as the bays are very narrow. The city is a quick walk away and the area feels safe. You just have to be lucky.✦Translating

Excellent free parking under the shade along Siena's walls, with no length restriction. If you have a long vehicle, you need luck to find a space; we found one with our 6.5-meter vehicle. Perfect for visiting Siena on foot.✦Translating

Found parking on the straight section before the hairpin bend. It is all a parking area. Certainly the safest and most convenient places for a daytime visit to the city. They are sloped and very busy, not suitable for sleeping. Before the hairpin bend they are free.✦Translating

We parked just after Porta Camollia. A 6-meter camper fit perfectly. Twenty minutes to the center. Great, if you are lucky enough to find a spot—it is a lottery.✦Translating

Normal car parking with spaces along the side of the descending road. With a bit of luck, there is room even for a 7-meter vehicle. The historic center is a 10-minute walk away. The exact address is Viale Don Giovanni Minzoni.✦Translating
