23 Chemin de Laval, 12380, Saint-Sernin-sur-Rance
Been here?
This quiet riverside spot beside an aquatic leisure centre has a flat paved area and space for only 2 motorhomes. Access is very steep, with tight bends, so it may be difficult for larger motorhomes or in wet weather. Bins and a water fountain are available, while the leisure centre provides picnic tables and clean toilets when open. The river and surrounding forest make it peaceful at night.

Charming little place; we stopped for one night. Small river for fishing. The access was a bit steep with the camper, but my husband managed it. The car park can accommodate only two motorhomes.
Very nice in March. Nobody around at that time. Our dog could have fun, run and play in the shallow river. Very quiet night, with the sound of water to fall asleep.
Very, very, very steep access, otherwise the spot is great! Very quiet at night, flat and paved, with a view of the river. Rubbish bins and a water fountain available. There are picnic tables and very clean toilets at the leisure centre, a swimming pool with a slide, but I have no idea whether it is open all year. I think it is suitable only for vans, 4x4s and panel vans.
Very nice. In winter, nobody is around. The access is a little steep but manageable in a van. Birdsong and the sound of the river. 4G.
Small car park above a picnic area, beside the River Rance. Quiet, with shade. I only stopped for a meal, but evenings must be peaceful. The last bend is a little difficult when cars are parked on the descent. With my 6-metre van, I had to manoeuvre to take the hairpin.
I spent the night in midsummer without being disturbed. No noise. It may be difficult to access for a large motorhome or in rainy weather; very tight hairpin bends.
Very pleasant place along the river. Swimming pool and food nearby, also right beside the river. From there, a path quickly leads to the historic village, which is worth visiting.
There is no point going in summer because it is a grassy car park for the leisure centre. Forget it, but you can certainly stay there in winter!
