Very good. Relatively sheltered from the wind and with super-friendly people. I spoke with someone who said it was no problem to sleep here and that it was safe. People with dogs regularly come by for walks and greet you warmly. Great spot. There is a stream right next to it and a rubbish bin is available. 5G coverage is adequate and you can also take good walks.✦Translating

At first we were a little scared because there were no other cars and there was a suspicious-looking vehicle. At 10 p.m., two cars stopped and shone their lights at the motorhome for about 15 minutes; they did not look reassuring either. Locals walk their dogs here, so we asked whether it was safe and they said yes. We then had a good night, although we were alone.✦Translating

Unfortunately on 2nd June 2025 moat of car park is in use as a contractors compound.

Great spot! Away from city fireworks this time of year! Dog walking trails nearby. Level gravel but no sectioned parking just a big lot area. Parked by a sign that says “runners”, in am got blocked in by small cones? Good 5G signal, 2-3 bars. Toilets 30p 8 min walk but closed. Occasional people parking then leaving on Saturday night. Still felt safe. Good spot leaving Edinburgh loudness.

Lovely little place with great walks for the dogs. Nice loop alone the stream and it's close to the Southern Upland Way. Large area generally level. Peaceful and quite. Frequented by local dog walkers morning and evening. Three other vans on site last night but still lots of space
