Autokamp Plitka Vala

A campsite as it was decades ago. No need to reserve, no pitch limits, sanitary facilities decent and fairly clean. Access to the water is a little difficult. A campsite for those who are not looking for luxury but for camping in the true sense of the word. Price €45 per night for 2 people plus electricity; a little expensive for what is offered.

Two stars only because you can stand beautifully among olive trees and the site has no pitches, otherwise the sanitary facilities are just about adequate. The cleaning women try hard, but the fellow campers less so! The site is very poorly maintained. Chemical toilet disposal and gray-water disposal are an absolute disaster! It could not be more disgusting! €33.60 per night including everything!

Overcrowded! Like sardines in tins.

We liked the freedom to choose our own spot! The really good spots directly by the water are almost impossible to get, as campers pass them directly from one camper to another. Many campers arrive with boats and make a lot of noise with them. There is also a festival site nearby that can be heard. The sanitary facilities are cleaned daily, but they smell very bad. A very steep price for this!

Campsite well located facing the sea, but organization needs improvement. Free placement; it is a bit chaotic. We did not use the sanitary facilities because they were too far away. We used our own equipment. A road runs through the campers. Average.

We wanted to go to Matija campsite, but the GPS stopped us here. When we realized we had to drive farther, we were already set up. The campsite is crossed by a small road heavily used by locals who drive fast, so it is noisy. Cold showers, no pressure, and a sewage smell in the sanitary facilities. Near the beach, with possible bike rides. Cash only.

There is no gray-water dump station or washing machines, and it is useful to have 40 meters of cable for connecting to electricity. Otherwise, it is an ideal starting point for visiting the peninsula by bike and a paradise for boats. After three nights, the noise became too much and the whole place was dirty.

Very natural campsite. Many possibilities to park your vehicle on unmarked pitches. The spots at the front by the sea are occupied by permanent campers. Roadworks are taking place on the main road, so many locals use the road that runs through the camp. Otherwise, there were no complaints.

09.05.2025 In the first row are the large permanent campers, often with trailers. Behind them are beautiful, large unmarked pitches under olive trees. Sanitary facilities good; restaurant currently still closed. Reception open until 1 p.m.; afterward, simply choose a spot and register the next day. Good cycling routes along the sea.

We actually only wanted to take a shower here, since we avoid campsites whenever possible and usually camp independently. Unfortunately, this was refused because there were no prices for showers only (how inflexible). So we paid €22.06 for 2 people and 1 van without electricity for a lukewarm shower at 7 p.m. before leaving. At least we now know how things work for next time ;)

We were here at the beginning of October. Everything was excellent. Price: €29 per night for 2 people with electricity. The site has everything you need. The restaurant on the grounds is highly recommended. However, the free Wi-Fi can be forgotten.

We were lucky and got a spot right by the water with a great view of the bay. There were several spaces available. The showers were okay. By bike, Betina and Tisno were quickly accessible. We liked this authentic place. Cash only, around €90 with electricity for 3 nights.

What more could you want? This place is a huge meadow with olive trees right by the sea. Not fancy, no luxury, no pitches, plenty of Croatian authenticity with all the necessary facilities for campers. A dirt track (!) along the sea leads to Betina, 2 km away. Less traffic than at other large sites. Small restaurant and shop. Attention: cash payment only at checkout. Wi-Fi? Nope.

Smaller campsite, clean sanitary facilities, in a good location between Murter and Tisno, fair price for the service: camper, electricity, two people = €38.

€35 for two people and a camper is too much when the Wi-Fi does not work, the sanitary facilities are from 1830, there is no hot water for showering, and when hot water does come, it only trickles with no water pressure at all. A road runs through the campsite, so scooters, cars and garbage trucks pass by all day. It feels like parking beside a motorway.

At this time of year, a truly wonderful, peaceful place with everything you need. We were completely alone by the sea. The starry sky in the evening is magical. Good shower, clean toilets, beautiful cycling and walking routes. The electricity boxes really need repairing. We paid €23 per night for two people without electricity in a camper. No good Wi-Fi.

A totally disorganized site; many people block beautiful spots with trailers because they do not want neighbors. Apart from the washrooms, there is only one place to get fresh water. For electricity, you should bring a 50-meter cable reel. Some showers are broken and cold. The question is: what are you willing to put up with for a little view of the water?

Simple, spacious campsite in a great location, especially if you have bicycles. One star deducted because the toilets are far away and not all pitches have electricity, but anyone who can camp reasonably self-sufficiently will feel comfortable here.

Choose your own pitch. The washhouse always smells of feces. Right by the water. There is a small supermarket. Nice path for a walk to Murter.
