City parking, occasional road noise

Easy and free place ideal for a night and close to the center and to tram stop. A little bit of noise from the traffic but it's ok.

The parking lot is free, and staying overnight is also no problem. We had a quiet night with little traffic.

Ideal for parking when visiting the city. We parked for free on Sunday and were at Friedrichsplatz in just under 10 minutes on foot. We did not stay overnight.

Good location. Free. Sufficiently large spaces available. Quite noisy overall, partly also at night.

Great spacious parking spaces. 20 minutes costs €0.80; a day's parking costs €8, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00.

Good free spot, suitable for all vehicle sizes and completely under the trees, well located for visiting the city center, 20 minutes' walk away, and at the foot of the telecommunications tower and Luisepark. I didn't test it at night, but I suppose there must be traffic late and early in the morning.

Wild parking; it is clearly the only free parking area in the region, but people have no respect: parked badly, crooked, and with completely unreasonable spacing. Nice, convenient, nearby... if there is a space! All this after extending the journey by 20 minutes because the whole city is a construction site with a ban on vehicles over 2.1 m wide! I found a space farther on and paid, but Mannheim is very easy to avoid!

The parking area is only 1.4 km from the city center, making it a great option for leaving your vehicle free of charge and even staying overnight. Since we were there over the weekend, there was not much traffic at night. The spot is between a park, which is perfect especially for dog owners and walkers.

GREAT: free parking close to the city center. There was no problem parking on the central strip, even with a 7 m vehicle. Downside: the road is fairly busy at night too. It was quite loud. It was okay for one night. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a place at the official campsite.
