Been here?
A green campsite on a hill beside Hotel Belvédère, with some pitches offering views of the Adriatic. Pitches can be small, and the older sanitary facilities are clean but limited for the site’s size. A steep path leads to a pebble beach, while cycling routes reach Portorož and Piran; Piran is about 10 minutes by electric bike. The campsite can be noisy, and recent prices include 118 EUR for two nights, two people and electricity.

We spent two nights at the site. No reservation was needed. Advantages of the location: a cycle path quickly takes you to Portorož and Piran. A path leads directly from the campsite down the cliffs to a beautiful pebble beach. The downside is the sanitary facilities; anyone who values clean showers will not be happy here. Too few showers and toilets for the number of guests.Translating
If you can stay self-sufficient with a camper van or car, this campsite is recommended. A beautiful pitch with a view of the Adriatic in the top row. A road runs directly behind it, but it is not very busy. In addition, an orange cat checks on things every evening. The sanitary facilities are just about okay, which is why this place gets four stars.Translating
We were assigned a pitch not much larger than a parking space. The sanitary facilities are old but clean. However, the price is outrageous for what you get: €118 for two nights in a panel van, two people, and electricity!Translating
€40 in May with electricity. It is ideal to have electric bicycles for visiting Piran, which is magnificent by the sea—about 10 minutes by e-bike. Otherwise, there are hiking trails nearby. Ideal for two nights.Translating
Nice sea-view pitch, but not worth the extra charge. Small pitches side by side. Clean sanitary facilities. Noisy campsite.Translating
Not a great customer experience. We booked four months before arrival, only to find a caravan on our pitch. The staff's solution was that we had to find another pitch. No assistance was provided, and the parking attendant was no help. As a result, four other customers were inconvenienced, but the staff were uninterested and made the customers resolve the issues themselves.Translating
Excessive cost; it is equivalent to the campsite area just before it. The pool costs extra, and even more besides.Translating
Nice place, stayed there for two nights. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach down a steep path. In the afternoon when a lot of people got back from the beach there was a queue to use the showers. I would definitely recommend.
- The sanitary facilities are insufficient in quantity for the size of the site - Pool admission: €5, children €3 - Electricity: €6 per day It was very busy in July, so reserving in advance may be advisable.Translating
Friendly reception in part of the hotel. We stayed at the beginning of the campsite next to the campsite road, which was anything but pleasant. There was still traffic on the road and music at night. The sanitary facilities are too limited for the size of the campsite and quickly become dirty. This is a transit campsite for one night. We left early, even though we had to pay extra. The free shuttle bus was a positive.Translating
+ Friendly and flexible staff + Free shuttle to the beach + Bus to Izola (€1.30) or Piran every 20 minutes - Uncharming campsite, very tight pitches in the Pines area - Road noise - Expensive: over €60 for two people, one van and electricity - Woken by the rooster at dawnTranslating
Ideal place for trips to Piran and Izola. A free shuttle bus runs from the hotel to Izola. Everything you need is available. Nice pool. Bring bicycles; there are wonderful cycle paths. Friendly reception and free choice of pitch. One star deducted because two showers at each entrance to the sanitary building are really too few.Translating
Unfortunately, the reservation did not work as desired. We still got a place. The campsite is much smaller than in the photos. Beware of the pitches by the road: we and other campers were robbed of chairs, table, cooker, loungers, and so on. Positively, we were able to leave early without an extra charge because we no longer felt safe there after the theft.Translating
€55 per night, excluding the pool (€5 per person). Plenty of available space for last-minute arrivals. Access to the sea by shuttle or on foot in 10 minutes, 15 minutes on the way back. Good value for money compared with the region.Translating
Basically a nice campsite. However, it is very crowded during the high season and the sanitary facilities are not really suited to its size. The sea is about a hundred steps down the cliff, with postcard-like sunsets. At €65 per night for two people, it is unfortunately somewhat overpriced. Drinking water is available, but unfortunately chlorinated.Translating
Useful for spending one night near Slovenia's beautiful coast. Pros: availability on a Saturday evening without a reservation; very friendly reception; shade in several places. Cons: noisy because of the number of campers and road traffic; queues for the few showers; high price for what is offered (€54 for two without the pool); sanitary facilities not especially clean.Translating
We spent two nights here, free of charge so far, because we are parked in a free parking area before the last camping area. We sleep in a normal car and have neither a tarp nor chairs outside. Perhaps we are being tolerated. The toilets and showers can be used if you are resourceful.Translating
Could have given 3,5 stars, but chose 4. Place is nice, toilets and shower are clean, can get crowded. Bike path is available, but this camping is on a top of a hill, so only one way is easy :). There is a nice pool in the hotel for fee. The only issue is the price, but if you are ok to pay 60-70 euros per day, it is a nice campsite. (With family of 4 in a camper, paid 150 for two nights inc pool)
A very small camper site for a lot of money. The pool also costs extra. Very little sanitary capacity, so there are long queues for the showers. The surroundings are beautiful and there is access to a sparsely populated beach, which made our stay worthwhile. But we would never return here.Translating
Very good! I was initially skeptical because of the negative reviews. The sanitary facilities were clean, and the van/motorhome pitches are shaded. The campsite is part of Hotel Belvedere, so pool access costs €5 for the day. Free shuttle to the beach. Easy to take the bus to Piran and the surrounding area. €60 per night in July for a van with electricity, two adults and two children.Translating
We stayed here for two nights. Despite the high occupancy, the sanitary facilities were clean. We paid €127 for two nights including a dog and electricity, which I consider borderline expensive.Translating
Clean and beautiful campsite. Registration at the hotel reception. On arrival we were quoted €14 per person and €10 per vehicle. After deciding to stay, it suddenly became over €50 per night for two people with a small camper van, without electricity. Questions were met with a shrug.Translating
Campsite well located for visiting Koper, Izola, Piran and Portorož. In particular, follow the cycle path by bicycle. Only two or three pitches have a sea view. The pitches are adequate and the sanitary facilities are simple but well maintained. Good welcome at reception, with all the information about the surroundings.
Very, very expensive place. It offers nothing beyond a pitch and clean bathrooms. The rocky beach is about 30 minutes away via a steep road. Routes to Piran and Izola are very demanding; cycling was difficult. I would definitely look for somewhere else. For one night on May 28, two adults and two children aged 4 and 5, a pitch and electricity cost us €77.80.
I recommend it: €30 off-season, with bicycle access to Izola and Piran.
Very nice place, friendly staff and green surroundings. It is also nice to have a restaurant, spa and gym available. Definitely recommend this site.
Friendly welcome. We stayed two nights because motorhome parking costs €20 more per night for the same services, and it is difficult to find space elsewhere during a holiday weekend. I did not find a level pitch at this campsite. Good starting point for cycling.
Nice campsite belonging to the hotel, where you check in. Some pitches are in greenery without a direct sea view; others have some view but are less green. The sanitary facilities are nice and modern. Hotel reception staff are very helpful. The beach is a 15-minute walk downhill, and Izola centre is a 30-minute walk.
€13.10 for one person without electricity (€6). Clean sanitary facilities. Ten-minute walk to the beach. Restaurant and hotel with spa nearby.
Great campsite! Attention: the entrance is earlier on the map than the location tagged in this post. The price is quite reasonable; regular street parking in Izola costs €15–20 for 24 hours. For two people with a camper, we paid €26 per night, plus €6 for electricity if needed. Large pitches and good facilities: toilet, shower, washing machine and dishwasher. Clean water taps and a grey-water disposal point.
Small campsite with pitches in pine woodland or sea views from the high coast. Camper, electricity and two people cost €40 for one night. The complex restaurant serves excellent food, but prices are high; the setting and service are truly high-quality and refined. We appreciated discounted access to the sauna and pool for campsite guests: €17 per person for three hours.
Campsite near Izola and Piran, in a good location. €14.50 for one person in a small van without electricity, in the low season. Clean sanitary facilities, hot water, washing machine at extra cost, unstable Wi-Fi, level ground.
I somehow got stuck here. In the off-season, on the side without sea views, I pay €12.50 per day without electricity. The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean. From pitch 204 I look out onto greenery and watch the olive harvest. You are woken by the rooster in the morning. It is beautiful here. Izola is quickly reached by bicycle. In sunny weather I go swimming in Strunjan; the hiking trail is a dream.
Clean sanitary facilities. On October 1, only €32 per night including electricity.
Nice campsite near the hotel area. Nearby trails lead to beautiful sea views and beaches. We had a quiet night. The showers are modern and clean, and the spacious parking area has plenty of shade. A little expensive, though: €56 for two adults and a small child, including electricity and tax. Overall, it was a good experience.
All in all, very good, clean and quiet.
