Camping Beau Rivage - Ciela Village - Mèze

Avoid. During the weekend of 22 May, a club of young rugby players and coaches was welcomed, with music, a projector left on and shouting from the coaches until 2 a.m., followed from 5:30 a.m. by people from the group constantly going to the sanitary facilities, loudly and passing through the pitches. The campsite owners showed no respect for their customers by accepting such groups.✦Translating

We had to leave this campsite after two days because of noise from a backhoe truck and dust. In addition, there was no hot water for two days—literally a cold shower. No grey-water disposal and no water for filling up either. I asked at reception and the person did not know what to say, but there was no problem taking our money for the two days.✦Translating

This campsite does not deserve its four stars. The sanitary facilities are neither swept nor cleaned. Given the amount of dirt on the floor, they had not been cleaned for a long time. I still give three stars for the friendliness of the person at reception and the proximity to Mèze.✦Translating

This campsite does not deserve four stars. Motorhome toilet emptying is done in the campsite’s only sanitary block, next to the showers. The showers are old and worn, with a water leak, gnats, no coat hooks and a door that does not lock. Positive point: proximity to shops, the town centre and the harbour. BUT!! PET LOVERS BEWARE. A somewhat smaller campsite with a wide range of amenities. The pool area is very nice, although it was closed without explanation or visible repair work on our second day. That was annoying. Otherwise, a lot is offered for adults and children in a small space. It is a short walk to the very beautiful town, and you can take a boat to Sète.✦Translating

Beautiful spot close to the town with a pleasant marina and restaurants. But that is also the only positive. The sanitary facilities are not cleaned properly and there is a lot of noise at the campsite. One night and then we moved on. We paid €62 for a pitch for four people.✦Translating

This campsite has recently changed hands. It is no longer Koawa but is now managed by Cielavillage. After contacting them, it turns out that they no longer offer the preferential off-season ACSI rate. I think that is a real shame, because outside July and August the pitches are very often occupied by retirees who support this campsite and the nearby shops.✦Translating

Nice camping, fresh toilets and showers. nice pool area a nice snackbar. Quiet after 23.00. Just a ten minute walk to town with a harbour and restaurants. We enjoyed our two night stay. If we have the route nearby, we comeback! Two adults and one child 12 years.✦Translating

The very definition of a campsite to avoid in a motorhome. You need a code every time you pass through the entrance, so if you take out your scooter you also have to take out the motorhome; they ask for your code to buy a beer—whatever happened to hospitality?✦Translating

Apart from its proximity to the town centre, harbour and shops, this campsite does not deserve four stars. Furthermore, the ACSI rates have really increased compared with last year. Barely 3 km farther away, the Loupian campsite has cycle paths right next to it and identical facilities for €10 less per day, although you need bikes or another means of transport to get around.✦Translating

It is not worth four stars: the sanitary facilities are not spotless and the shower water is barely warm. The pitches are only adequate. The geographical location is very good; everything can be done on foot. €38 per night for a motorhome with two people and two dogs in May.✦Translating

Warning: this is supposedly an ACSI campsite, but it is not! We paid €58.84 including the household waste tax for two days, and Wi-Fi was charged extra, instead of €40.✦Translating

Arrived on April 3, 2024. Very nice campsite; however, €68.84 for two days with a motorhome in the off-season seems very expensive, especially since almost all the services are closed. A shame, because it is very close to Mèze town center.✦Translating

Warning to ACSI cardholders: this is not an ACSI campsite, but they discreetly offer the ACSI off-season rate. Remember to ask for it, because afterward there will be no room for negotiation. In our case, our five-day stay cost us €40 more at the end of September 2023. We certainly will not return, and not just because of the prices.✦Translating

A very nice campsite, with direct access to the lagoon and a beach 10 minutes away on foot. There is also a Sunday morning market 10 minutes away. The pool is very pleasant, with an adults-only section under the dome, which is a nice touch. We stayed for three nights.✦Translating
