Been here?
A large lay-by beside the River Suck, near a marina, with access to a picnic area, fishing, and kayak launching. The barrier is never closed, and the village and pub are within walking distance. Nights can be peaceful, but traffic crossing the bridge is noisy in the morning.

Stayed here for one night in July. A little noisy from daytime traffic crossing the bridge in the morning, but a fantastic location for a peaceful night and launching a kayak.Translating
this is a great fishing spot.. near the village and a nice walk to the village and pub. barrier never closed... good place to park at the river suck.
We approached across the bridge in the dark, driving towards Ballyfornan and missed the actual spot, immediately on your right at the end of the bridge. (photo) We parked in a large lay by which, in the morning, turned out to be only 40m past the marina. Peaceful night and great sleep with only the odd car passing. The marina car park has a height barrier but it was open with no sign it is used.
perfect place the height barriers are still open on the picnic area which is wonderful beautiful bridge tranquil river setting so quiet the road is irrelevant
It's a nice area, but it is right beside a very busy road.Translating
lots of space for parking and beautiful scenery
Parking area for 4–5 motorhomes. Currently you can drive directly onto the picnic area; the height restriction is open. We parked right by the river. Very beautiful and quiet from 9 a.m. onward!Translating
