14 Rue du Saucil, 89500, Villeneuve-sur-Yonne
Been here?
A basic campsite beside the river, with a bathing beach and playground directly next to it. The river is suitable for swimming, but dogs are not permitted there, and the town is a short walk away. The site is spacious, including for large motorhomes, though the facilities are ageing and the sanitary areas are not always very clean. It is a practical place for one or two nights.

Great site. Basic but everything you need. Near to river where you can swim. (Dogs not permitted at the river). Short walk to the town. Town is old and a bit run down but pleasant. Would recommend.
Good for one or two nights; the campsite is well located along the river. A beach is right next to the campsite, with a playground. The campsite was taken over three years ago, and some restoration is needed. Friendly welcome and spacious area, even for the largest motorhomes.
The manager is friendly. The prices and sanitary facilities are reasonable (but not very clean). However, this campsite is not very charming; it borders on a dump, with all sorts of machines, tools, and objects scattered around. Not very pleasant. It will do for one night, but I wouldn't want to spend a holiday there...
Just what we needed to park our van. It is certainly run-down, but we don't care. It has everything necessary and is very well located for walks or water activities in season. It is reassuring to see that campsites like this still exist.
Very good, it has almost everything, very well located, super friendly, and inexpensive. So, do I recommend it?
Aging facilities. They need refreshing and cleaning up for optimal comfort. There has been a change of ownership, so we wish the new owner courage and energy to restore the campsite.
The campsite opened this weekend. There is an area for emptying grey and black water.
CLOSED on March 20. What is this nonsense? According to the operator, the prefecture asked all campsites in the region to remain closed until the end of April.
Quiet campsite in a really nice location, with everything you need. Clean bathrooms with hot water. All for €13 for two people, without electricity, for one night.
Good campsite. Clean. The beach has both a grassy area and sand. Very friendly people. Beautiful village. €17 for a van with two adults and electricity.
A somewhat run-down campsite that needs a serious upgrade; then it could be a gem. But the basic necessities are available. A safe place for one night for only €14.70. The owner was friendly. The beach is open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The village is old and many houses are dilapidated, but charming. There was some noise from a group of French people having a pleasant barbecue, so we missed some peace and quiet.
I spent three nights at this campsite in mid-July, very close to the town, even on foot, and also to the beach, 50 meters away, landscaped and supervised, on the Yonne. You can choose your own spot on the grassy grounds. The sanitary facilities have been renovated. Good. The new owner listens to customers. About €13 for two people. I recommend this campsite both for staying and for stopping overnight.
Small, friendly, adequate campsite. You can hear the trains, but it does not stop us sleeping.
Spontaneous overnight stop while passing through, with a beautiful meadow, and very quiet. The sanitary facilities must have been newly built in recent months; they make a decent impression. All in all, it works.
Everything as described, but the swimming beach is only open from July 1.
