36 Via Sasso Corbaro, 6500, Bellinzona
Been here?
Overlook parking beside Castello di Sasso Corbaro, about 10 spaces, flat and partly shaded, level ground, room for large motorhomes though the road up is steep and narrow. Signposted 4-hour limit, but many stay overnight; enforcement is inconsistent, some report police visits and being sent away in the evening or morning, others sleep undisturbed. Free, quiet at night with occasional passing cars viewing the castle, bus stop nearby and a walk into Bellinzona. Water tap and toilets may be closed in winter.

An excellent parking area for motorhomes visiting the castle. Directly opposite, beside the road and next to the statue of the Virgin Mary, there are two spaces where you can easily spend the night.
The climb is steep and narrow, but at the top there is a good parking area for large motorhomes.
Nice place with a beautiful view. Quiet. :) Maximum parking time is four hours.
Convenient and free, level, and partly shaded. The road to reach it is not very convenient, but not too bad either. Recommendation: keep right when going down. The road on the left, marked no buses, has tight hairpin bends; vehicles longer than 6 meters will have to maneuver.
We took the risk and spent the night there. It worked out and we were not sent away. Parking is officially allowed for only four hours. Presumably, there are fewer checks at this time of year. Great view. Cars occasionally came at night to enjoy the view from the castle, which was slightly disturbing. About 25 minutes on foot to town via a lovely path. There is also a bus every hour.
