Bertha-von-Suttner-Straße 1, 38640, Goslar
Been here?
This free, authorized motorhome parking area is a convenient base for visiting Goslar, about 1 km from the center. It is shared with cars and buses, has no services, and the surface is sloping in both directions. Road noise is variably noticeable, although some nights are quiet; spaces for motorhomes up to 7.5m were available.

We stayed here for one night. Great for walking into town. There were still several spaces available.Translating
Free parking, ideal for visiting the town. We were not bothered by traffic at night. Even now, there are still enough spaces for campers.Translating
Terrible slopes in both directions. Thank goodness it was free.Translating
Even in the afternoon, there were still many free spaces for motorhomes up to 7.5 meters. Very quiet and safe. Highly recommended for a walk through Goslar's old town. Overnight stays are also possible, but there are no services whatsoever.Translating
Excellent for visiting the city; it is free and you can also stay overnight. There are no services.Translating
Practical for an overnight stay. Close to the center and more space than expected. The road was nevertheless clearly audible.Translating
Great spot so close to the historic city center and supermarkets. Many large parking spaces. No facilities.Translating
Beautiful shaded spot, close to the city and the mine. You can hardly hear the roads at night. However, it quickly becomes overcrowded with motorhomes. Those with a car registration have better luck.Translating
It is fine for a walk into the center, but I do not understand how people can say they spent a quiet night. The road is very clearly audible on both sides of the parking lot.Translating
Lovely, lots of space, plenty of shaded spots too - and for free! Thank you to the town of Goslar for making a free overnight stay possible.
We stayed there for two nights. The parking lot is a good starting point for visiting the city. Two or three spaces were occupied by locals who leave their cars there. Otherwise, the lot was heavily used and the few motorhome spaces filled up quickly. The parking lot is clean, but unfortunately cars also park in the motorhome spaces, although the reverse happens too.Translating
Nice and quiet place, with no noise at all during the night. Twenty minutes' walk to the marketplace.Translating
Visited on December 22, 2025. Slept wonderfully among many other campers. Within walking distance of the very cozy town center. You must see the Christmas market!Translating
Perfect for visiting the city! I cannot understand the negative reviews. Some people are perpetual complainers.Translating
Large parking lot near the old town. Free and perfectly fine for one night.Translating
Many parking spaces in a mixed parking lot. No facilities. But parking is free. About 1 km from the old town.Translating
Thanks to the city of Goslar for making the site free of charge… no facilities, but there is nothing to complain about. It would only be nice if local residents did not block the spaces with their cars. Unfortunately, four spaces were blocked by cars yesterday…Translating
Thank you Goslar. Very close to the beautiful old town. Fabulous old buildings and streets to wander round and visit the shops. Just picked up some fabulous food for dinner from a local butcher delicatessen. Visited mid November. Plenty space for campers.
Very sloped, and beauty is not its strong point. Vehicles up to 11.65 m are manageable.Translating
A rare free parking place lots,of spots but also lots of campers. Goslar is a wonderful historical town
We stayed here for two days. It was quiet and safe. It was close to the city center and the shopping mall. The park nearby was very nice.
It is just a parking lot, close to the old town. Quite quiet at night despite the surrounding roads. For us, it is always the place to start when visiting Goslar. Unfortunately, residents park motorhomes here and block spaces. Not a good development.Translating
Thank you very much to the city of Goslar.Translating
A calm and quiet place to spend the night, although very cramped, with car drivers who cannot read signs and park in spaces reserved for motorhomes. Dutch people put out furniture and think it is a campsite, but just like back home in Sweden, nothing unusual. Cramped if you have a motorhome over 7.5–8 m.Translating
A good parking area for visiting the city, 15 minutes on foot. Not very suitable for campers over 8 m. Many campers park outside the designated spaces, but there is no sign prohibiting this, nor is overnighting prohibited, so many of us slept here.
Almost everything has already been said. Over 8 metres or with a trailer is difficult. Cars whose drivers cannot read signs, and Dutch people who cannot distinguish parking from camping. You can eat excellently at the Butterhenne. Thanks to the city of Goslar!
Free parking to visit the beautiful city what’s not to like? I found space easily enough on a Sunday lunchtime. I didn’t stay the night due to other commitments but I would stay here as it felt safe along with other campers. Bins were full but just take your rubbish with you until you find an empty bin on your journey!!
It is called Parkplatz Fullekhule, a large free parking area, but there are many pee-bag tissues, it is not very clean, and it is noisy next to the busy road for overnighting. I am going back to the Rammelsberg parking area; there were only three of us there and it was so peaceful!
