This is a large, exposed daytime parking area on top of the Quantocks, with open skies, mountain scenery, sunsets and sunrises. Overnight parking is not allowed, and the area is clearly unsuitable for overnight stays. The surface is very bumpy and loose gravel, with minimal shelter, while sheep, horses, birds and an occasional ice cream van are present.

Nice day car park, ice cream van was there over the weekend. Very very bumpy and loose gravel though & very clear the area doesn’t want overnight parking in the 3 car parks here. Small reservoir nearby 15 min drive is best bet for overnight!
Extensively large exposed parking spot. can see a town in the distance at night. occasional wild horses clopping by. minimal wind coverage. hard compacted earth with stones inside. not frequently passed through. top end is shielded from main road. lovely sunrise. much birdsong.
No overnight parking allowed.
