Unnamed Road, 23010, San Martino
Been here?
A small, basic campsite suited to climbers, hikers, tents and small vans, with pitches in natural surroundings. The bathrooms are simple but well kept, and the showers have hot water. A 6mt van was refused, and larger motorhomes may not be accepted. There is no functioning toilet-disposal service, while the camping’s minimum-stay and pricing policies have caused problems for some visitors.

The place is great, but the person at reception is not! Nobody was at their campsite, and they refused our motorhome!
Spartan campsite but with everything necessary. Despite it being the perfect season for climbing, the campsite was not crowded. There are pitches for tents and others for vans. The bathrooms are simple but well maintained, and the showers have hot water. The trail into the valley starts just two steps away, surrounded by the famous rocks. We slept lulled by the sound of the stream—magical.
Our 6 m van was refused because it was too large, too long, and equipped with a bathroom and shower. Imagine if it had been a motorhome. There is no WC emptying service. Unacceptable prices. I am used to a 12 m caravan and van; the van is very nimble, but with the Panda, sorry, I do not go camping. I recommend calling beforehand and perhaps sending documentation for the vehicle you have.
Old school alpine camping: a green field where climbers put small tents, not a place for big motorhome... You are in natural reserve. Value for money? Keep in mind that you are in a world climbing mecca, with a big problem of overtourism, overall during summer... so you pay for the place, not for the service. Friendly staff, straight manners.
The campsite's location is incredible, especially for climbers and boulderers. The campsite itself is nothing special; you pay for the location. Unfriendly operator, and the showers and toilets are not particularly good either... Bring your own toilet paper.
Great sized pitches in beautiful surroundings. Basic facilities. Nice and reasonably priced bar/cafe on site. Don’t think the minimum night stay warrants the harsh low ratings!
