Via Chiusaforte, 33100, Udine
Been here?
Free motorhome area beside the Civil Hospital, with 6 exclusive stalls of approximately 6 meters and a maximum stay of 48 hours. Free black- and grey-water loading and unloading are available, but there is no electricity. Bus line n.1 stops nearby for the center of Udine, and shops and a supermarket are within walking distance. Recent reports describe thefts and attempted scams, so overnight security is a serious concern.

We had seen the negative reviews, so we stopped only to get water. Meanwhile, three cyclists arrived and calmly took naked showers under the tap. I saw the police pass several times, but it doesn't take much to steal, and the police cannot do much if Italian laws release these scoundrels after five minutes.Translating
I do not recommend staying here. As soon as we parked in the designated area, a young man approached us trying to extort a fee. Only after my husband showed that the camper area is free for 48 hours did he leave. We felt unsafe and drove away. The only positive is the free service point.Translating
It is shameful that the town council does not take measures to prevent these thefts. All that is needed is to install cameras so motorhomes feel safe—and, of course, catch the thieves.Translating
To be avoided—full of thieves.Translating
Very good and quiet for a maximum of 48 hours and for overnight stays. €2 per day, free on Sundays. Everything is clean and works. We parked in the city and then drove here to spend the night. Update: our motorhome was broken into while we were having breakfast 100 meters away. It is better not to let the vehicle out of your sight.Translating
Excellent motorhome area with all services except electricity. The surface is fantastic, completely level. To get to the center, take bus number 1; you are there in 15 minutes. A 10 for the town council.Translating
Absolutely avoid! We were robbed while getting ready to leave. We were distracted by the children, and they stole a wallet and phone that were on the motorhome table. Real professionals. We fled.Translating
Quite okay for one night, but there are nicer places.Translating
Water filling, emptying, and 48 hours of parking are all free. Bus 1 to the center is just a short walk away. Excellent for visiting the city.Translating
We stood in the parking lot for 10 minutes and were surprised by a thief! Since we were in the rear of the motorhome, we were able to chase him away after he grabbed a handbag. The shock was huge, and we left immediately!Translating
Quiet place for overnight stays. Two kilometers to the beautiful old town. Water and waste disposal are free. Everything is clean!Translating
I confirm what Luca reported; on June 22 the situation was identical. A real shame for the city of Udine, although the blame must also be shared with rude campers who do not respect the basic rules for using the parking areas.Translating
A disgrace for the city of Udine. The area has a single tap for washing the toilet cassette and filling the water tank. It has been clogged for months. Today, feces and sewage were floating throughout the dumping area.Translating
Quite quiet at night. You park in the middle of a large parking lot on grass pavers. The parking lot starts filling up from 7 a.m. So it is not suitable for late risers.Translating
Motorhome and car parking near a hospital. Ambulance noise from time to time. Quiet site and almost completely occupied. The same tap is used to fill clean water and rinse the toilet. There is a bus stop to the center, 100 meters away.Translating
Luckily it is low season so we got a space. Small private cars park on the well signed campervan spots! Quite a long way to walk into town, especially as it was heavy rain when we stood there.Hence only the three stars.
Unfortunately, three of the six spaces were occupied by motorhomes and the other three by cars, so we had to drive on. Very annoying!Translating
They are better organized in Africa. We arrived to stop and use the services, but unfortunately the sewer had flooded the entire parking area—and not just that, but others too. I have never seen such a mess in my life, like a cholera site. The municipality of Udine should be ashamed to leave it like this. Shame!Translating
Very quiet place. It costs €0.40 per hour or €2 for the whole day, and it is a half-hour walk from the center of Udine.Translating
Few spaces. We found the area reserved for campers full; there are other parking spaces, but they are paid and reserved for permit holders. Broken window glass was scattered throughout the parking lot, and the area is not very well maintained.Translating
Many thanks to the city of Udine for providing this opportunity to park for free, including overnight. It is 3 km to the city, easily reachable on foot or by bicycle. There is a cycle path. Water and waste services are available. Great service.Translating
Parking area with six spaces reserved for motorhomes, sometimes occupied by cars. In the middle of a huge car park. Easy to access, quiet at night, with waste disposal and drinking water services. A little far from the city center.
I confirm the risk of finding the camper spaces occupied by cars, but they empty out in the evening and the area is very well lit. A little noisy in the morning, but acceptable.
We spent one night there; the parking area was clean and orderly. On arrival, some cars were occupying the camper spaces.
We heard about incidents in which motorhomes and cars were broken into and various items stolen. However, we spent our stay without any problems, and it was quiet at night.
WARNING!!! The driver's window was smashed and the car was robbed during the day. We were away sightseeing in the city for two hours. After researching further, I unfortunately found this warning about the place several more times. Someone was even broken into while briefly taking out the rubbish. Think carefully about whether you want to stay here.
Quiet parking area on a large car park. Few cars on weekends, very full during the week. Recommended.
Very nice, quiet parking area... directly opposite is a great restaurant, very friendly and reasonably priced: El Faro.
Excellent place to spend the night or park while visiting Udine. There is a water filling and waste disposal point. We spent a peaceful night.
A simple, unremarkable place, but completely free for sleeping, with all services included for up to 48 hours. Not too far from the city, although it is a little far on foot. Reachable by bicycle to the city center. The place is quiet, peaceful, spacious, and so on. We had already spent the previous night here.
