Citadel parking, no facilities

We parked here to visit the city. The parking meter is broken and, according to a local resident, there have never been any checks here. We felt safe here. Even the police drove by and waved.

Great, large space behind the road, directly in front of the citadel entrance. Many spaces, usually vacant. No problem for larger vehicles. Locals told us that parking here was not a problem.

Motorhomes over 7.5 m can park in the rear area. The rear then extends over the grass, or the rear wheels may be on the grass with a long wheelbase.

Convenient for visiting the citadel; we went to sleep somewhere else. 8 lei for the day (free at night).

Excellent car park for visiting the beautiful fortified town. Towards the back there are spaces where you can put the rear of your motorhome over the grass. I do not know how payment works; we were here on Sunday and did not stay overnight. We stayed at the beautiful spot by the river 5 km farther on.

Free from Saturday 2.00 PM to Monday, 7.5 lei ( 1.5€ ) for one day in the rest of the week. I payed to the machine on the entrance of the spot ( cask or card possibility ). In the back of the parking space, there are larger spaces. I could park a 7.5m RV if I put front wheels on the grass. There are about 10 places like this. Some youngsters, but they left about midnight. 5 minutes to old town.

Cars and noise all night then rooster from 4am.

Great location to visit the city. We ended up staying the night. It was mostly quiet just a few people on a Friday night. As previously mentioned we also saw the police drive through the car park in the morning - no issues.

Very quaiet place , we did stay for a night , very close to the alba iulia centre .Only few cars during the day , police was there few hours !
