The terrain is flat near the restaurant, and the surrounding road is quiet at night, although it can be busy during the day. A drinking-water fountain is available, and the hut has a small kiosk.

We stopped while passing through to take a walk. There are great hiking routes. We did not sleep there, but it looks good, next to the road.
Flat ground beside the restaurant. Quiet from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Hiking parking area at the Löchberg Hut, located directly beside a busy road. At night, only perhaps two or three cars passed by. Very quiet at night. A drinking-water-quality fountain is available. Small kiosk, very nice and inviting. We really liked it there and would come again.
No traffic at all at night, access via a winding mountain road, nature all around, and plenty of space.
