9 Calle Apartadero, 04115, Níjar
Been here?
A daytime parking place in the old Rodalquilar gold mines, with spectacular views over the valley, sea and lighthouse. The approach is very bumpy, and the first 200m requires slow driving; larger motorhomes may struggle, while 4x4 vehicles are better suited. Another viewpoint parking area is located slightly higher.

Ignore 600 euro fine comment, this is a local person complaining
The environmental agents came and fined us 600 euros.
The location is good despite the rough road. I went to the higher parking area.
Very bumpy road up, but it was fine with my Transit. I didn’t stay overnight because there were no other vans there. Great views.
You absolutely cannot get there with a motorhome. But the 4x4 crowd will get their money’s worth. The area, including the abandoned site, is definitely worth a trip!
Very nice place. We stood there for 10 minutes and the Guardia civil came to tell us that it's not allowed to spend the night and asked us to leave. They were very nice :-)
We couldn’t get there because there were many stones on the road; however, we stayed a little farther down, right where the asphalt ends. The views are spectacular.
Amazing place to visit, but no way was I (or 3 other vans who came while I was there) going to go further than the concrete road, which is too sloping to sleep on. You need a 4x4 or very high ground clearance van. We walked up & if you had nerves of steel it would be nice parking!
