Been here?
A quiet riverside daytime car park at the Nunns Bridges, suitable for 2 motorhomes and within minutes of Thetford town centre. It offers lovely river walks, wildlife and historic attractions nearby, with bins and benches available. Signs now prohibit overnight parking, so it is only suitable for daytime stops. The car park is small and can be shared with local dog walkers and other visitors.

A lovely spot to park free for the day, tranquill and peaceful. A really lovely riverside walk into Thetford, which unfortunately is like many other small towns now, a few discount shops and eateries.. but some lovely historic buildings, the abbey is quite special, and free. Burrell steam museum, small but also free. It is a small car park, but pretty.
Beautiful spot, but unfortunately there are now two signs saying “No Overnight Parking” ☹️
As others have said the sign's have appeared, no overnight parking. I stopped here and used it as a rest stop before moving on late in
stopped here many times but now too many vans! 3 vans take half the carpark which is very small and local dog walkers aren't happy with this.
No longer overnight parking. Signs just gone up. What a shame it got far too popular with up to 6 vans at a time. Still great for daytime.
Over Nunns Bridge. At the entrance, theres a Big white sign on the left, turn on right, chestnut trees. This is British Trust site. Space for 5 camper vans/ motor homes plus 5 car spaces. At the side of the river lovely walks, plenty bins, and benches, No signs/ No overnight restrictions. Highly recommended. Would rate 5 star, if there no road & boyracers playing loud music driving past.
Great little stop over. the only thing to be aware of is the conker trees. All i can hear is the sound of conkers falling on the vans on either side of me, im in the only spot with no tree above. A group of younsters early on playing music but soon disappeared.
Stunning spot! We were the only camper mid week, and only one or two cars came & went. Joggers and dog walkers but very quiet, the only other visitors were deer, swans, ducks, geese, squirrels and other birds. Friendly locals fishing in the river let our son have a try & beautiful walks, short walk into shops & town. Perfect.
Stayed for 2 days and 1 night at Nuns Bridges next to the river. It is a popular parking spot for the locals as it is 10 minutes walk to town. We shared this lovely spot with them and other vans overnighting. The birds are appreciative of being fed. There is a rubbish bin on site so please keep the area tidy. The dog walkers are polite and helpful. Thank you to the municipality.
We stayed again (June 22 & May 23) for one night without any problems. Can recommend the circular walk around the town and along the river. There is a map in the car park.
