Been here?
Free lay-by with picturesque views over a river, sea and sand dunes, plus walks to the beach, a castle, stepping stones and dunes. Recent stays have involved repeated deliberate tyre damage to vans, cars and other vehicles, including punctures and sidewall stabs. Because of this ongoing safety problem, the location should be avoided.

Lovely spot - stayed 14/08/2024. Awoke to back tyres pierced with a dart, completely flat. Other vans nearby suffered the same damage. Seems to be an ongoing problem now I've read previous posts here - Avoid.
Two cars recently had a dart/pin in their tyres here last night. Either grumpy locals or lowlifes thinking they are funny. Luckily didn’t park here. AVOID.
lovely area but awoken Saturday morning 17th to damaged tyre side wall stabbed with some kind of dart every vehicle got done same way 10 vehicles a few reported to the police but doubt anything be done until they are caught red handed
I stayed on the common just east of this place on a side road last night, felt the van move slightly about 4.30 and looked out, didn’t see anything but I had two tyres punctured as well as 6-7 other vans and cars, £250 to sort, also had damage two nights before in Swansea marina.
Second time staying here. The first time there were other vans, this time it was just us and a couple of cars. We arrived late and I was wary of the previous review but had no problems. Plenty of space, extremely quiet, and beautiful views in the morning.
I have parked here before and had no problems, last night I parked in the layby on the bend at the bottom. There were other vans further up the hill. Unfortunately this morning I woke up to 2 flat tyres, when I took it to the garage for tyres there were pinpricks in the side wall of both tyres which could only be done by somebody not by driving. So....be careful in the area.
